Wedding Crashers, the other side

I thought it was full of funnies. Laughed often. Made light of some situations that are often held as sacred.. Vince V was a machine gun with his lines.

Would I recommend it? Absolutely. It was way better than Men in Black which was a dud for me. But then again, what works for some is not what I like either..

Now, to call this flick a waste of two hours,, sophmoric humor,, a waste, childish,,etc... One who thinks that way might want to go back and read his/her own posts on politics, religion, abortion, etc.... And then talley up the hours spent on this board reading, lurking, replying...

We all have our days when things look rosie, when they might actually be dandy lions. But,, when we watch a movie, to get the most out of it, we have to give up a bit of reason, and offer some trust to the writer that the movie will deliver us from the momment (we are in, reality) so that we can enjoy a couple of hours with his/her created world.

Wedding Crashers did it for me, at the time I watched it.. Thanks!!

You are free to like what you like, but I am not sure why you find it necessary to denigrate the board in the process. Personally, I have learned all kinds of things from this board, and I believe that posting here can sharpen your thinking and writing skills if you bother to work at it.

If you get more out of Wedding Crashers than you do here, I think you should put it on an endless loop and have a ball!

I liked the movie, too. And I don't understand what the stink was over them pretending to have a purple heart. I realize those that have received this citation is extremely honored. But I didn't see the movie taking away from this.

Some of the worlds biggest pussies hang on this board. Read the OTHER set of movie reviews on this title. Everybody is entitled to their opinion. I respect that, but I have seen, first hand, where others on this board don't do the same. Seems like they suck each other for praise and rep.. So be it.

The board itself is a resource. Don't get me totally wrong, I am somewhat thankful there is a venue for me to blurt my ramblings.. But,, I am pissed about some previous issues.

The movie was okay but NOT well-written. Something tells me the majority of Vaughn and Wilson's best lines were improvised. Will Ferrell was basically wasted, Christopher Walken was totally wasted (I didn't think it was possible for that to happen anymore) and the movie turned into a chick flick somewhere around the third act. 40 Year Old Virgin managed to have serious moments that seamlessly integrated into the plot. Wedding Crashers felt like "well, we gotta do something dramatic with them now."

Is all of this in reference to the Movie forum? Because I'm pretty sure this is probably the most docile forum on the board, I can't remember a real "fight" ever breaking out on here. I'm not sure what you mean by the OTHER set of movie reviews on this title. I'm going to go read it now and try to figure out what you've got against it.

Actually, No. But, I do see some of the same "regular forum" scenarios taking place. The self proclaimed alphas piss on a rock, proclaiming the rock (their opinion in this case) to be sacred.. All others either bow to the alpha, or lick the wounds that the rock will inflict.

Or another way of looking at it,, don't read too much into what I post either. I agree, this movie review section should be functional and fun. SEE THE FIRST THREE LETTERS -------------> FUN!!!:teeth:

I thought the movie was average at best, and incredibly over-hyped. I turned it off mid-way, it just felt too forced.

One of my buds got me a copy that says UNCORKED,, what ever that means.I tried the disc out and sure enough, I laughed at some of the same scenes. Go figure. I'll keep the copy in the Med chest!! :shocked:

In any event, as the weather gets warmer, and the suds start to flow,, may your p-shooter squirt far and true.. Think of Hillary every time you aim your missle at a rock.

FYI!

An old man keeps asking his younger neighbor for a Viagra pill every couple of days. The neighbor asks him if it helps him "perform", and the old man says no. So the other guy asks if he takes it a little early in the evening before the old guy gets in bed, thus giving it time to work. The old guy says "I break the pill up into pieces and take one part in the morning, and one in the evening." The neighbor says, "that won't work for good sex, you need to take it whole!".
