lets change some words around to tell the TRUTH:Just because you say it doesn't make it true...those detention centers were closed under Trump after his first year in office after he won the legal battles...the migrants were in Mexico waiting because Trump made a deal with Mexico...if you are saying kids were being raped while waiting in Mexico then welcoming more to come is a terrible Idea don't you think?...or is your desperation for new voters over riding your concern for the migrant children?....No it was not because Trump made them wait in Mexico...where thousands of them went back home knowing their claim of asylum is a lie....Child rape in Biden's detention centers...we warned you asshole libs....
Child rape was also occurring in Trump's detention centers. We know you asshole cons didn't care then.
This time it's on Biden's watch.
The centers operating today at more than full capacity were empty when Trump left office....
I reported a month ago that young girls were being raped by so called teen boys and you and every other lib here laughed and said I was nuts because they were not mixing boys and girls together...well what do you say now?...you bring up Trump...wow.....Trump is the go to when libs get cornered by their own bullshit....
How selective...
Have you not read about the rape, trafficking and human misery in the camps along the Mexican border - an area that also happens to be one of the most violent and lawless in Mexico? I take it you didn't read about the mass grave of slaughtered and burned migrant bodies they discovered?
That's what I don't get about you cons - once they are out of the US - it's rainbows and unicorns or something. Or maybe you don't really care - it only matters when it's the other team's president.
Anytime you have mass numbers of people crowded togather you are going to have problems - whether it's here or waiting on the other side of the borders. If you care about kids and families waiting to for their cases to come up, at least if they are on our side of the border, we have some control and accountability.
When they were crowded in Trump's detention centers - there was rape, assault, and terrible conditions. Those conditions times ten exist on the Mexican side as they await their turns. Open your eyes and stop pretending Trump "improved" their conditions by making them wait in Mexico - all he did was remove the "eyesore" from your view. And Biden deserves criticism for this, I won't argue - he should have preceded the policy change with a ramp up in needed infrastructure - facilities, judges, etc etc. I'm also not happy that his administration seems to be following a similar policy to Trump's in allowing media in. He's only a few months in to his administration so let's see how he fixes it, because ultimately that is what will matter.
Trump was detaining mass numbers of children after his "zero tolerance" policy went into effect... into 2019. That was well into his administration, NOT the beginning as you claim. In 2019 he insitituted the "remain in Mexico" policy and gradually closed the detention centers. The conditions in those detention centers were every bit as bad as you are now reporting is happening under Biden. Under Trump it lasted several years. Under Biden, so far, a couple months (we'll see what happens). At least Biden is NOT getting a free pass on this from his own side - we are demanding action and accountability and transparency. The media is covering this and holding this administration to account. Didn't see that from you guys at all under Trump.
You ignore the reality of the "remain in Mexico" policy - a reality that created conditions even worse and more horrific than what happened in the Trump detention centers (or Biden detention centers) where at least there were some minimal rights, demands of accountability and for transparency, and we could do something about the conditions. Unlike Mexico.
Here is a site that has covered this - and continues to do so under the current administration. So stop lying about Trump.
Conditions in Migrant Detention Centers - American Oversight.
A reality check for you on the remain in Mexico policy. This policy included blocking visas for American media trying to access migrants, as well as lawyers trying to provide legal representation and help for asylum claims.
Federal court temporarily halts Trump’s ‘Remain in Mexico’ policy — then reverses itself
The “Remain in Mexico” policy took effect in January 2019. Nearly 60,000 people have been sent back since the policy began.www.usatoday.com
Since the U.S. Department of Homeland Security rolled out the program in January 2019, the U.S. government has sent back more than 60,000 people to seven Mexican border cities from Tijuana to Matamoros. Those included some of those most dangerous areas of the border, exposing migrants to assaults, kidnappings, murders and extortion.Human Rights First has counted 1,001 cases of attacks on MPP migrants, including kidnappings, rape, torture, murder and at least 228 kidnappings or attempted kidnappings of children.
In a recent report, Doctors Without Borders also reported that, in October alone, 75% of the migrants in the MPP program they spoke to in Nuevo Laredo had been recently kidnapped.
Q&A: Trump Administration’s “Remain in Mexico” Program
On January 25, 2019, the United States Department of Homeland Security (DHS) announced the implementation of the Migrant Protection Protocols (MPP). MPP, also known as “Remain in Mexico.” The policy allows US border officers to return non-Mexican asylum seekers to dangerous locations in Mexico...www.hrw.orgOn the one-year anniversary of the MPP program, asylum seekers returned to Mexico have instead faced the consequences of a policy that has put tens of thousands of them, including children and families, in harm’s way. The MPP program has also compounded existing failings in US immigration courts, including a lack of access to counsel, barriers to legal representation, lack of transparency in immigration proceedings, and limited legal protections for asylum seekers.
Why did you ignore this then? Why does it ONLY matter now?
barrag-o was detaining( in cages, also) mass numbers of children all during his administration... . The conditions in those detention centers are every bit as rotton now under xiden. Under barrag-o, it lasted several years. Under xiden, so far, 3 months ,and will continue throughout
- a reality that created conditions even worse and more horrific than what happened in the barrag-o detention cages, or xiden detention cages, there are no rights.
