Anyway, the point is that bombing German (and Japanese) cities helped end the war quicker.

Both those countries should not have started the war and they should have surrendered sooner when it became obvious they could not win against vastly superior resources.

The problem I find with most who follow Revisionist History is that I tend to find most of them are actually apologists if not supporters of those they are trying to change history for.

And as such, they fall more closely with "zealots" than anything else. Explaining facts does not matter, no matter what the action is wrong and evil in their mind.

After all, they are actually parroting the actual statements of Joseph Goebbels in here for goodness sakes. That along with things like repeatedly posting the exact same thing tends to make me start to believe that those that are arguing the most fanatically that it was wrong might have NSDAP related tattoos on their bodies somewhere.

I see the exact same kind of things every August when bombings in Japan come up every year. Most fanatically from an otaku who's name is literally Japanese for a scatalogical act.

You just can't reason with them. Myself, I simply post correct information so that others that jump in can learn real history, and not the twisted history they are trying to present. Including things like actual maps and photographs to show where key locations actually were. And to be honest, I absolutely love the contortions they are having to do in order to explain that key locations were indeed inside the city center and not miles and miles away.

You simply can not reason with fanatics, the most you can do is hope to help others see they are fanatics and not to be taken seriously.

Was it necessary? No. The German rolling stock supply was so low that the destruction of railways was pretty much useless. The railyard that mushroom is so hot and bothered about was rebuilt in three days.

All while under extensive AA fire.

And they were just a regular ground attack group. Not a specialized squadron, like 617, or the American 1st Air Commando.

that was rehearsed VERY low level raid and there was almost no flak. Only one Mosquito took serious damage and that was from a moored German light cruiser. With the fuzes on the bombs set to eleven second delay, that attack was at a hundred feet or so. I can't find any confirmation of the altitude they bombed at but here is a photo of a Mossie after the attack climbing out:

Estimating the altitude from the wingspan, that Mossie is at about two hundred feet. It might be lower since the perspective of the photo is from low to high.

There was no extensive AA fire. Only ONE Mosquito was badly damaged and diverted to Sweden.

That is not my view at all. But you claim the bombing was not needed, as obviously the war was almost over. Like so many that try to twist reality to fit their beliefs, you keep twisting and turning, but no matter how hard you are trying it simply fails.

I actually said bombing the railyard was valid. But destroying that city doesn’t have any similar military value other than terror to break their spirit to fight.
