Voting rights advocates say Trump's executive order requiring proof of citizenship 'could block millions from voting'. Isn't that the point?

No it isn't. The point is we want American citizens voting. Americans voting and Americans have proof of citizenship available is not the same thing. 21.3 million Americans, don’t have proof of citizenship readily available. There are myriad reasons for this — the documents might be in the home of another family member or in a safety deposit box. And at least 3.8 million don’t have these documents at all, often because they were lost, destroyed, stolen, or they never had them. And there are generations of migrant workers that were born in the US but have no birth certificate. Some were home births but they never got recorded.

That’s a whole lot of feelings you have there.

Yes, show examples of them forging whatever it is you think they are forging and examples of them using it to get ballots and voting. Here comes the dodge…
Geez man:

The Heritage Foundation is a pretty reliable group even if they are Conservates. Keep in mind there were 155 million people that voted. Even if ever reported incident of any kind was an illegal immigrant voter that would be only .00035% of the voters. Remember Trump was claiming tens of millions of alien votes.
And, as you have been shown, their information is considerably out of date.

Well, yeah.

And that is why Dems be big mad. And naturally, they're suing over it.

Voting Rights advocates and Democrats come up with the same goddamn bullshit excuses against any form of identity verification or enhancement.

One would think that with the roll that ID verification increasingly plays in our daily lives that truly caring Democrats would be more focused on getting these millions supposedly without IDs some form of State IDs. Republicans have proposed “free IDs” to help bridge the gap.

Democrats are so full of shit.

It may seem to be out of date because the cases only appear after the conviction which can be several years after the act.

Just because people can commit an illegal act does not mean they will. For violations to be common occurrences, the violators must be able see some personal reward which out weights the possibility of exposure and punishment. When undocumented immigrants illegally vote they have nothing to gain and a lot to lose.

When and if there is real proof of significant illegal voting by aliens, we should take action. We should not make it more difficult to vote because of what we assume to be happening.

No, the rampant corruption, and avoidance of investigation by the democrats is what is being exposed. They have known about it for a long time.

Hell, they have been PROFITING from it. No wonder they refused to investigate it.

You can't function in American society without ID. The only reason to be against voter ID is to enable voter fraud
Almost ever adult in America has some form of id, most of those ids will not prevent voter fraud. A voter id that verifies citizenship could prevent one form of voter fraud, a non-citizen voting. However, it will not prevent the most common voter fraud, voter misrepresentation which occurs when someone other than the authorized voter votes, most often done with absentee ballots. It will not prevent the second most common voter fraud, duplicate voting. Nor, will it prevent fraudulently registration using a fake id. What it will do is reduce voter participation by minorities.

Judicial watch forced states to remove illegals who had been registered to vote.
Judicial Watch is a conservative foundation. It has no authority to force states to do anything in regard to elections. Even the federal government has very little power to regulate the manner in which elections are carried out in the states. That's in the Election Clause in the Constitution. Of course, I might be wrong. Trump may have issued an executive order that suspended the constitution during his term in office.

But no illegal voting

How many non-citizens voted in the last election?
With few to none requiring proof of citizenship, that would be hard to calculate precisely.
With many States applying "motor voter" registration that doesn't require proof of citizenship we can rough guesstimate the number/percentage.

The task I was given was to show illegals falsified documents

I can also provide people being prosecuted for illegally voting too
Just about any prosecutor can claim he is prosecuting. However, there there is big different between such a claim and actually prosecuting and getting convictions.

And I can too. Between 2020 and 2024 we had 99 prosecutions in the US for illegal voting crimes in which non-citizens were charged and there were 71 convictions. Over that time periods there were over 500 elections with over 400 million voters voting.

So, you know those 86,000 irs agents they wanted to hire? Why not take some of them and help people get proper identification.

We need to help these people acquire legitimate proof of citizenship. Saying "well, we shouldn't require any proof of citizenship to vote because we have some people in the US who don't have it" isn't acceptable. Let's work on getting those with lost documents regain them somehow.

Because..if they don't currently have proof of citizenship...how are they voting in the first place?

Citizens have NO PROBLEM getting ID. That is a lie promulgated by the democrats to try and prevent voter ID laws.
