Saturday morning!
Maybe I don't care how much I weigh.
Let the cartoon begin!
I have all the seasons of "The Good Doctor" on DVDs and enjoy rewatching them from time to time. Interesting plot lines in most weeks, a bit tedious on some themes bordering on soap opera-ish, but good character development and acting. I almost never watch TV drama any more but did/do enjoy that show.
Anyway, last night was watching one episode in which a young man had a dangerous eating disorder developed when his fitness conscious older brother pressured him to lose weight.
I don't have an eating disorder and am not excessively overweight, but like most members of my family, while none are grossly obese, we almost all tend to run heavier than what would be considered the American ideal. (An exception is my Aunt Betty who eats whatever she wants, whenever she wants, but has remained slim and trim and her doctors all encourage her to gain some weight.)
And watching that show last night, it occurred to me that at no time since puberty, have I ever needed or wanted to weigh more than I did/do.
Blessed are you who don't have to consider calorie content in the foods you eat.
