After looking again expat500 and Montrovant are both right. I saw No 3 anomaly right away but kudos to you both having a good eye.

So far different ones have identified 3, 5, 7 and 8 as having some sort of anomaly on them.Answer: #8
Are any of the chickens?

Hello Ringel ..05.. and ole pal..I never knew this but the proper way to store cheese is in a paper cheese bag or wrap. Substitutes are parchment paper, butcher's paper or just paper lunch bags. I have some lunch bags I've had forever so I'm using those now.
Basically we should never keep our cheese in the plastic wraps they come in as cheese needs to "breathe" to keep from drying out.
Also it's better to not cut off any more cheese than you're going to use right then. It stores better as a block than as small pieces.
...just kidding...

That's one of the them. There are three others with anomalies that Expat and Montrovant and I spotted--each one of us seeing a different anomaly on a different chicken.I think it's 7.
You're probably right. We buy the one pound brick of cheddar at Albertsons and it is always in plastic. Lumpy is right that if there is a little mold on the outside, you can cut it off and use the cheese. But if there are moldy spots deeper into the cheese best to pitch and replace it.I never knew this but the proper way to store cheese is in a paper cheese bag or wrap. When it comes to computer repair and maintenance, I'm a deer in the headlights .. So Bless You ..So the last few days I had been having computer issues and really feared my hard drive or motherboard was going--the computer is pretty old. Last night and this morning very little was working on it but I finally got it to work long enough to reinstall Windows 11. Voila that was the problem. Windows 11 had become unstable and almost unusable. It's working fine now except that some of my older software that I was able to install, I no longer can. Or maybe the DVD drive isn't working. I don't know.
Was chatting with Ringel the other day and he had some major computer problems and admitted he pretty well used up his vocabulary of colorful language before he got them solved. (He has the knowledge to solve them while I just guess and hope.)
But I spent several hours to 2 am this morning working on mine and then all day today reinstalling Windows and downloading software, virus protection etc. As for the colorful language, I can relate.
The reinstall though changed all my icons to the Edge graphics. I reinstalled Google Chrome and made it my default browser but the icons are still Edge. I've tried everything I know how to do to get them back to Chrome but so far no dice. It does show Chrome is my default browawe.
Cheese is dense...... not to mention stupid also...... (Pun intended)Hello Ringel ..05.. and ole pal.....just kidding...
SoOo anyway .. yesterday, I'm inadvertently de-organizing the bottom shelf of the refrigerator looking for a coke and I run across this rather aged and chunky extra sharp white cheddar cheese. I love this stuff, especially, with a coke and hopefully fresh crackers or even broken dried up pieces nobody seems to want but are .... Oh, never mind..
Long Story Short.. if there happens to be some green moldy growth on the surface .. do I just scrape it off and eat it like the adorable ball and chain says ?
She's been suspicious lately...

For your icon issue Sync may be the culprit. Go to Chrome settings, Sync settings and turn off sync. Restart Chrome, maybe reboot your computer just in case. If that doesn't work open Edge, in address bar type “edge://settings/profiles/importBrowsingData” (without the exclamation marks) and hit Enter. On the screen that comes up you can turn off this feature. So the last few days I had been having computer issues and really feared my hard drive or motherboard was going--the computer is pretty old. We like at least sharp cheddar with everything.Cheese is dense...... not to mention stupid also...... (Pun intended)
Mold typically only forms on the surface so either scrape it off or remove a thin slice with the mold on it. I like extra sharp cheddar with apple wedges.
No I figured it out. I got a false message that Chrome was my default browser but actually it was still on Edge. Microsoft does everything they can reasonably do to keep you from changing browsers but I hate the new Bing that comes with Edge. They ruined it by including a lot of new AI stuff. Anyhow I messed around with it and managed to get Chrome set as the default browser. And the icons look normal again. For your icon issue Sync may be the culprit. Hopefully one or the other will work. That's a little bit of knowledge gleaned from the internet laced with hope........![]()
I understand very little but do so much computer work and run so many different kinds of programs that I've developed some pretty good intuitive skills that helps me solve problems. And I'm a pretty good investigator and have learned how to look for various buttons to push to do this or that. No way I could teach anyone else how to do it because it is strictly intuitive and I usually forget how I did it once it's done. LOL.When it comes to computer repair and maintenance, I'm a deer in the headlights .. So Bless You ..

For no AI and no ads your best bet is to use DuckDuckGo Browser. I still use Firefox even though the first result of a search is AI generated. I simply scroll down to the following entries if the AI isn't giving me what I want.No I figured it out. I got a false message that Chrome was my default browser but actually it was still on Edge. I also finally figured out how to download old software that didn't automatically autorun but it requires a lot of finigalling (is that a word?). Have one more favorite game to coax to download. I will say Windows 11 is more user friendly to the old software than Windows 10 was. Windows 8 hated it.
I'm not crazy about Chrome either. I understand that Elon Musk is working on a new search engine/browser with email that will be free speech meaning a lot of stuff won't be suppressed in the searches. If he gets it done and it's good, I'll be switching.
Good information. I still prefer Chrome to Edge. I do have Duck Duck Go. I might to turn off the A1 in Bing though. The biggest issue with Chrome is their first search results are "sponsored" sites. Literally companies/sites that pay Chrome to be listed first. Often the first non sponsored results are towards the bottom of the first page.
However if you want to go back to Edge/Bing:
