Mathew 5:17

“Do not think that I came to abolish the Law or the Prophets; I did not come to abolish but to fulfill.”

The Council’s Core Decision

Gentile Christians do not need to become Jewish or follow the full Mosaic Law to be saved. Salvation comes through faith in Jesus, not adherence to the Law.

Something I found puzzling was its decision about following Mosiac law, considering Jesus' ministry was big on rejecting the Pharisaic legalisms and returning to the spirit of the written Torah's laws. The real Torah's laws are pretty straightforward and simple, as opposed to the ludicrous tortures and loophole inventions for them the Talmud puts them through. I would guess it had to do with the fact that few Gentiles would have access to the language of the Pentateuch or any education of it. Any other opinions on it?

This is an excellent question!

Is it just my imagination that former Atheist and now Orthodox Jewish Rabbi Alon Anava, reports a seven minute NDE in 2001 that reminds me of the flavour of Matthew chapter four. Then for the past twenty five years Rabbi Alon Anava teaches the basics of Judaism that remind me greatly of Matthew chapter five, six and seven?

"My Life After Death Experience" with Alon Anava

A related question to my thinking was, could Rabbi Yeshua - Jesus have had one of these out of the body experiences, or near death experiences during forty days of fasting?

I wouldn't doubt it. That would indeed cause some sort of reaction and an epiphany or two.

Former Atheist Rabbi Alon Anava was even shown globs of Energy from Quantum Vacuum being the HTML coding for the visible universe, and they are in the form of the twenty two letters of the Hebrew Alphabet!

I personally believe that Rabbi Alon Anava truly believed that he had glimpsed the invisible higher dimensions or he would not have so dramatically altered how he was living.
