The United States Football League was a short-lived professional American football league that played three seasons between 1983 and 1985. It was basically just the XFL of the 80's.

A stupid idea that you could somehow compete with the 4 major professional sports leagues.

Because the NFL makes a boatload full of money.

I bought a Breakers pennant when I was in the States in 1984, I think I may still have to somewhere in my stuff (and I can't remember if it was Boston or NO.... I don't suppose it would make much on Ebay though
