That's right. The power to issue the universal income to some is the power to deny it to others. One for all and all for one? No. Not when the few have so much power to make decisions for the many.Universal Income is Satanic and from The UN. Do not fall in to this baited trap which will lead to the oppression of many.
Because a national UBI wouldn't be paid for with Alaskan oil.So if the profits from the oil in Alaska only has the ability to provide $1,000 per resident, when Alaska only has 700,000.... why would you conclude that you can provide $1,000 per month, to 330 Million people?
How does the political influence of the actor and singer compare to the CEO?How much more does a star pitcher in MLB make than the hotdog vendor in the stands? How about the parking lot attendant?
How much does an actor make in a popular sitcom compared to the stage hands, the makeup people, the lighting crew or camera person?

Corporations run this country in case you haven't noticed.
Crooked cops and disreputable tow companies have been stealing from me over and over again in Alaska. They are too aggressive, and they have shot at me, and attempted to murder me as well.Because a national UBI wouldn't be paid for with Alaskan oil.
That makes as much sense to me as saying "if you object to the wealth a drug dealer makes, become one yourself." Both the dealer and the parasite earn their wealth through exploitation, so, if it's all the same to you, I'll stick with my SSA and SSI.
As far as entertainment's concerned, professional athletes compete on level, heavily regulated playing fields which is about as far from monopoly capitalism as possible.
how much of that over the last decade or so or more is real inflation added to it.Because a national UBI wouldn't be paid for with Alaskan oil.So if the profits from the oil in Alaska only has the ability to provide $1,000 per resident, when Alaska only has 700,000.... why would you conclude that you can provide $1,000 per month, to 330 Million people?

U.S. Nominal GDP: $21.44 trillion - U.S. GDP (PPP): $21.44 trillion
The U.S. has retained its position of being the world's largest economy since 1871. The size of the U.S. economy was at $20.58 trillion in 2018 in nominal terms and is expected to reach $22.32 trillion in 2020."
That's bullshit. I know *I* don't pay that much money to see professional sports stars in action. A company? That's different. A lot different. People have to go to work and produce. The wheeling and dealing of empire-building CEOs doesn't add a whole lot of value to some of those companies for the salaries they're paid.My comment was merely the point that star players are hundreds of times more compensated than those who perform the menial labor below them. Companies are no different. The CEO is the star player, and I never hear any criticism from the left about entertainers being compensated the same way.

Who's jacking up the cost of fuels? So you are going to drive millions of people into poverty by jacking up the cost of fuels?.... and them give them a thousand dollars to make up for it?
I'd be in jail just like everybody else if it was because I did anything, doncha think?Huh? They have shot at you? What were you doing at the time, that caused them to shoot at you?

You don't get it, your opinion doesn't count. Quote the actual law that establishes your right to collect UC when you don't qualify for it.Individual liberty and natural rights already proved you wrong. You don't even understand the concepts only your right wing propaganda.Prove me wrong.Individual liberty and natural rights, what is That sayeth the right wing in non-socialism threads. He sees the word "unemployment" in the name and assumes it covers him when he just doesn't want to work. And he won't deviate from it.Why should an insurance policy that covers temporary expenses associated with job loss attempt to solve poverty? That's not what it was designed for.Unemployment compensation is not welfare but a comprehensive insurance program that should actually solve for something, like simple poverty not nothing on a for-profit basis as right wingers would prefer.
Individual liberty is enabled by equal protection of our at-will employment laws in any conflict of laws. UC codes cannot conflict with established federal doctrine or State Constitutions. Thus, employment is at the will of either party even for UC purposes.
Finance is strangling the productive economy in coils of debt that grows exponentially.Financial transactions will not generate much taxes. Countries have tried this. They simply moved where they do their banking outside the country with those taxes.

Don't forget that it needs a completely new welfare program and a buttload of money that we don't have.UC is implemented with existing legal and physical infrastructure that needs a simple "software upgrade" to actually solve simple poverty in a fine capital and market friendly manner.I've already covered this here:Why do you believe it isn't. I can just as easily say it is; general welfare, what else could it be? Certainly not general warfare as the right wing would prefer.
General welfare is things like infrastructure, a court system for resolving disputes, a border wall to discourage illegal entry, etc.
It's been presidential tradition for a long time to leave the previous president alone, and Quid Pro Joe isn't likely to buck the trend. Trump isn't even likely to be prosecuted for most of the stuff that gives the haters wet dreams. If so, that's only because Joe Biden reverts to his corporate roots and refuses to prosecute:Trump won't go to prison. That's assured. He may pay some fines here or there, but he's not going to prison.
Losing Could Expose Trump to Prosecution for Any Number of Crimes
"Tax fraud seems to be a family tradition for Trump.
"The Trumps set up a company in 1992 owned by Trump, his siblings, and a cousin who apparently did nothing except siphon money from the real estate empire of Donald’s father, Fred Trump, into the company’s pockets.
"This allowed Fred to shower his children with millions of dollars in gifts without having to pay any gift tax."
