Virus is not the flu..despite the best disinformation campaign the Right has waged. Its mortality rate is different--and it is far more virulent..obviously. The affected age is different as well.

Believing me is not the issue...you should know that flu rates are down across the globe.

Or, they are counting the flu as the China virus....which is highly more likely than your lame excuse.

Well..people are free to believe what they want...and determine the 'likelihood' according to their own unique rubric. You seem to be invested in the Covid and the flu having the same rates of virulence and morbidity--which, in fact, they do not.

My 'lame excuse' is the prevailing professional wisdom in this matter. I know....everyone is full of shit..unless they embrace your narrative.

They do not have the same rate of morbidity for people under-70. Flu is twice as bad for that group.
Under-70, BTW, constitutes 85% of the workforce.

Maybe because the CDC data shows that over 85% of new COIVD cases wore masks all the time or most of the time... Mask do very little...

During last night’s debate, Joe Biden warned “We’re about to go into a dark winter”.

Of course, any thinking person who has heard Biden’s commitment to shut down our fossil fuel industry,[coal, gas, oil and end fracking] which provides the fuel for our nation’s power plants that heat and light our homes, knows Biden’s warning could only be true if Biden is elected.

Another great reason to not vote for Biden, so that "dark winter’ will never come.

Yet the dark winter he is warning about is the Covid-19 pandemic will get worse.

It's obvious he was referring to the virus. But his reference to having a "dark winter" turns out to be prophetically true should Biden and Harris get elected and fulfill their promises to close down the fossil fuel industry and stop fracking







Closing down this industry would certainly create a "dark winter" as there would no longer be fuel for power plants which supply the means to heat and light our homes.

How would they close down the oil industry when it is obvious a vital part of the economy. Joe is talking about dependency. Let see if the renewable fuels can compete in a free market. If wind and solar can compete then that is what the market is all about. The choice of using renewable energy vs non renewable energy.

Biden can't change that the US is dependent on oil. US still gets oil from Canada and a few other places. Why because storm season in the gulf effects prices. A good storm will disrupt things and raise prices. Yes the oil production in the US has increased under Obama and continued under Trump. As the COVID has put a wrench in it but hey gas is cheap and yes oil production has slowed down.

It still is susceptible to politics, international competition, pandemic's and even weather.

Fracking became widely used under Obama as early as 2009 and is still growing.

US has more oil refining factories than any other country.

blue Jobs depend on it and adding jobs from wind and solar is a plus so buying into what the right hears is just others playing the fear card.
