Last week UNESCO adopted a resolution which refers to Israel as the “occupying power” in Jerusalem and on, what UNESCO calls, the al-Haram al-Shariff (Temple Mount). The Western Wall (Wailing Wall) that is today Judaism’s holiest site is referred to as “Al-Buraq Plaza” in the resolution.

Israel DOES possess the Temple Mount! It's just that UNESCO showed its blatant bias by referring to the Temple Mount solely as the "Noble Sanctuary" (its Muslim name), and by calling the Western Wall Plaza "the el-Buraq Plaza" (also its Muslim name, which was made-up only in the 1990's). It was completely disrespectful to deliberately ignore Judaism's connection to the site, which predates Islam.

Oh my. You islamonuts are the excitable type. What "decision" do you think UNESCO made? It was noted earlier that muhammud (swish) the inventor of islamism never stepped foot on the site UNESCO is attributing as yet another of Islamism's most holy sites™. It seems odd to me that UNESCO is inserting itself into the business of establishing religious shrines but considering the entities that are pressuring that body, who's really surprised.

He who pays the piper calls the tune. The U.S. cut it's funding of UNESCO in 2012 because it allowed Palestine full membership and the Zionists went berserk (as usual). Losing 22% of it's funding in one fell swoop caused a crisis which other member states chipped in to fill, but the U.S. lost all influence in any decisions made. We call that an "own goal" I suppose American would call it "shooting yourself in the foot". Way to go America, why not go the whole hog and stop funding the U.N. entirely and resign from the Security council and allow free voting?

That'll never happen, though because the first item would be expulsion of Zionist Israel as a threat to world peace, followed by condemnation of and sanctions on the U.S. for waging wars of aggression.

It is not owned by palestinians, it is controlled for all muslims that pray there by the waqf and jordan by agreement of Israel.
