Zelensky’s popularity has grown up recently. Ukrainian President and his inner circle make a figure for millions of people. World’s politicians are trying to cosplay Zelensky, world famous prints fight for his photo on the cover. His public image of the Saviour of Ukraine helps former entertainer getting huge amount of money to repel Russian attack and support Ukraine’s economy.
But this is all made for an external audience. Inside Ukraine the President’s position is not that solid. Ukraine is rapidly losing its territories, manufactories and sovereignty. One the one side, Putin is coming. On the other, the Global Government made a resource colony and a training range from Ukraine to fight Putin. Sober-minded Ukrainians understand that there will be no Ukraine soon at all. It will either be taken over by Russia or become a political dwarf like Montenegro.
The war glorified Zelensky, so he stopped to listen to the people and patriotic forces, identifying himself with God. Previously, the nationalists restrained the excessive liberalism of the authorities, controlling the Ukrainian Government. Now Zelensky has sent patriots to be slaughtered on the battlefield, closed unwanted media in the back and silenced the opposition.
Discontent with Zelensky is to keep growing among Ukrainians in Canada. Well-informed Ukrainian Canadians who have relatives in special services are confident that the most radical patriots especially among combatants are ready to overthrow the Ukrainian President and won’t stop before killing him. In particular, the entourage of Biletsky, the leader of the National Corps, is confident that Zelensky's retention as head of state is a national catastrophe. During the war, his presidency is unacceptable so he must leave or die. Such a scenario is also predicted by our relatives in Ukrainian special services.

Well, that is quite a story!

I’ve long been aware of Ukrainian rightwing nationalists threatening Zelensky, who after all was elected as a “peacemaker” who could improve relations with Russia and end the Donbas secession along Minsk Agreement lines. But that quickly got vetoed by the armed nationalist fighters. Of course the bloody Russian invasion and its failure ended all chance of peace and increased hatred and nationalism on all sides.

Still, if you have anything valuable to add, you should link to some sources, even if they are only at the rumor stage and in Ukrainian or Russian language.

The real question is when and if Ukrainians and Russians (and their leaders) ever get exhausted by all the destructive dying and killing, and negotiate a ceasefire. More lasting peace and mutually recognized borders may not be settled for decades.
