Ukraine Has Lost the War

Fuck Russia, fuck Ukraine, fuck Poland, fuck the Baltic triplets and all the assholes who think it’s a grand idea to pick my pockets for grandiose schemes and dreams of hegemony. May they all rot.

Retired US Marines Colonel Richard Black lays out in detail many reasons why the Ukraine has lost the war. But then provides an ominous warning that it could become a nuclear conflict leading to disaster for the world.

I don't mind saying that he's making the exact same points myself and so many others have been making on the trumped up propaganda coming out of America.

This is a voice of authority and deep knowledge on the issues he examines.

This is also a source of numerous points worthy of discussion, but shouldn't be viewed as an invitation for an armchair war on this forum.

1. Russia can continue this war forever.

a. The Czar does not care how many Russians (including high-ranking officers) die. He is ruthless. He has no human decency.

2. Obviously, the United States cannot go on forever giving weapons and other aid to Ukraine.

a. Already the American media are losing interest in the war.

b. Many Americans probably feel bad for Ukraine, but do not want the war to negatively affect the American economy.

3. I think it fair to say that Russia now has effective control over eastern Ukraine.

a. Ukraine, like Georgia, is now a truncated state. If it is to remain a supposedly independent nation, it will have to grovel before the Czar as Georgia does.

4. President Z. will be remembered as one of the most inspiring leaders in world history. Sadly, in the end, he & his brave people lost their battle.

5. Hopefully, some kind of divine punishment awaits the Czar for having unleashed such indescribable misery and suffering on the Ukrainian (and Russian) people.

1. Russia can continue this war forever.

On Tuesday, when asked if a chip shortage was crippling the Russian military, Commerce Secretary Gina Raimondo, who oversees export controls, said the answer was “an unqualified yes.”

“U.S. exports to Russia in the categories where we have export controls, including semiconductors, are down by over 90 percent since Feb. 24,” she said. “So that is crippling.”

[snip]

U.S. officials say that in concert with a wide variety of other sanctions that ban or discourage commercial relations, the export controls have been highly effective. They have pointed to Russian tank factories that have furloughed workers and struggled with shortages of parts. The U.S. government has also received reports that the Russian military is scrambling to find parts for satellites, avionics and night vision goggles, officials say.

Technology restrictions have harmed other Russian industries as well, U.S. officials say. Equipment for the oil and gas industry has been degraded, maintenance for tractors and heavy equipment made by Caterpillar and John Deere has halted, and up to 70 percent of the commercial airplanes operated by Russian airlines, which no longer receive spare parts and maintenance from Airbus and Boeing, are grounded, officials say.

Thanks for the good news!

Fighters in the direction of Slavyansk complain about the falling quality of trophies left by the Ukrainian army.
It is clear that you do not look a gift horse in the teeth, but MG-42! It is too much///

A petition to replace the monument to Catherine the Great in Odessa with a monument to gay porn actor Billy Herrington has gained the necessary 25 thousand votes for consideration by the president.
The people who do not remember their past have no future.
The suicidal impulses of Ukrainians are no longer surprising. Ukraine is doomed

Case in point: British intelligence believes that Russia has lost over 50,000 men, more than a quarter of its original invading force, and the Russian military (or, more precisely, its mercenaries, the Wagner Group) is reportedly enlisting prisoners for reinforcement. This is not an original gambit, which is why the Russian high command should know that it will backfire.

[snip]

So far, the Wagner Group has consisted of expendable losers, but effective ones nonetheless. With the new additions, the group will remain just as expendable but less effective, which doesn’t bode well for the life expectancy of their soldiers. Further, lawless felons who would commit atrocities against Ukrainian civilians will inspire resistance and insurgency. These are not secrets, and the Russian military is aware of them. So taking this risk suggests desperation, and we can only conclude that Russia’s manpower problems are much worse than they appear.

[snip]

On the other side of the front lines, the American and allied export controls on the transfer of military and dual-use goods prevent Russia from producing more advanced weapons, and the Ukrainian are proving adept at blowing up the ones the Russians are currently operating. As a consequence of the Ukrainian’s facility at blowing up high-tech Russian weapons, the Russian military is recycling old weapons like T-62 tanks, which were introduced before the Cuban Missile Crisis and deployed with embarrassing results by Iraq during the Persian Gulf War and Russia during the Russo-Georgian War.

This post is not aging well.

Looking a little dated now. Russia will struggle to keep this war going if they keep losing thousands of troops and are trying to replace them without going to war. They can only have "volunteers" fighting, remember.

Let me amend it slightly.
First: The US has failed to defeat Russia.

And the Ukrainian army has been nearly wiped out and has been replaced with foreign fighters who are covertly fighting under their countries flag but posing as mercenaries.

Russia created the largest nuclear force in the world, along with the most efficient means to deliver it.

I see great peril for the world in the tea leaves.
