All you have to do is pay attention. Or not chime in without understanding what's being discussed.Sorry, I can't hear your brains rattle.
All you have to do is pay attention. Or not chime in without understanding what's being discussed.
Retired US Marines Colonel Richard Black lays out in detail many reasons why the Ukraine has lost the war. But then provides an ominous warning that it could become a nuclear conflict leading to disaster for the world.
I don't mind saying that he's making the exact same points myself and so many others have been making on the trumped up propaganda coming out of America.
This is a voice of authority and deep knowledge on the issues he examines.
This is also a source of numerous points worthy of discussion, but shouldn't be viewed as an invitation for an armchair war on this forum.
1. Russia can continue this war forever.
Thanks for the good news!U.S. Technology, a Longtime Tool for Russia, Becomes a Vulnerability (Published 2022)
Global restrictions on sending advanced technology to Russia are hampering the country’s military capacity, U.S. officials say, though Russia has stockpiled American equipment for years.www.nytimes.com
On Tuesday, when asked if a chip shortage was crippling the Russian military, Commerce Secretary Gina Raimondo, who oversees export controls, said the answer was “an unqualified yes.”
“U.S. exports to Russia in the categories where we have export controls, including semiconductors, are down by over 90 percent since Feb. 24,” she said. “So that is crippling.”
[snip]
U.S. officials say that in concert with a wide variety of other sanctions that ban or discourage commercial relations, the export controls have been highly effective. They have pointed to Russian tank factories that have furloughed workers and struggled with shortages of parts. The U.S. government has also received reports that the Russian military is scrambling to find parts for satellites, avionics and night vision goggles, officials say.
Technology restrictions have harmed other Russian industries as well, U.S. officials say. Equipment for the oil and gas industry has been degraded, maintenance for tractors and heavy equipment made by Caterpillar and John Deere has halted, and up to 70 percent of the commercial airplanes operated by Russian airlines, which no longer receive spare parts and maintenance from Airbus and Boeing, are grounded, officials say.
The world must come to grips with reality: The war is lost.

It’s one on Donald’s, what do you expect. This post is not aging well.
Looking a little dated now. Russia will struggle to keep this war going if they keep losing thousands of troops and are trying to replace them without going to war. They can only have "volunteers" fighting, remember.1. Russia can continue this war forever.
a. The Czar does not care how many Russians (including high-ranking officers) die. He is ruthless. He has no human decency.
2. Obviously, the United States cannot go on forever giving weapons and other aid to Ukraine.
a. Already the American media are losing interest in the war.
b. Many Americans probably feel bad for Ukraine, but do not want the war to negatively affect the American economy.
3. I think it fair to say that Russia now has effective control over eastern Ukraine.
a. Ukraine, like Georgia, is now a truncated state. If it is to remain a supposedly independent nation, it will have to grovel before the Czar as Georgia does.
4. President Z. will be remembered as one of the most inspiring leaders in world history. Sadly, in the end, he & his brave people lost their battle.
5. Hopefully, some kind of divine punishment awaits the Czar for having unleashed such indescribable misery and suffering on the Ukrainian (and Russian) people.
Let me amend it slightly. This post is not aging well.
