Trump's third term

We aren’t talking about what reasonable people believe.

We’re talking about what Trump and the cultist believe is a way.

I think the left are the ones hyping this up. While thre may be a few right wingers who have this notion that it could happen, I'm sure most of them understand the reality of it.

Your only problem is within 4 corners of the 22nd it doesn't say that. It specifies "elected"..
Amendment XII:
But no person constitutionally ineligible to the office of President shall be eligible to that of Vice-President of the United States.

Nothing in the 22nd overwrites this.

So the argument is 'he can be VP, win, and then the President will step down and he will be President again?'

Well hey, worked for Putin/Medvedev.

Be interesting to see what would happen if Trump ran and won the electoral college. Would SCOTUS overturn the result of that election? If so, who would be the next president more to the point who would choose the next president?

The original constitution and bill of rights were pretty straightforward and easy for even unman to understand. Then the courts almost immediately started adding their own meetings. Then we had amendments which may conflict with each other or other parts of the constitution and such an event as a theoretically, an eligible person winning White House.

It could be logically argued that if the majority of voters voted for Donald Trump, it would violate the 15th, the 19th, and the 26th amendments guaranteeing the right to vote for all citizens about the age of 18.

The idea would be that if election results were overturned, then the votes of all American citizens would have been rendered moot.

He can run, and win, he just can't take office. His VP would take over.

The constitution was written and amended to prevent certain people from taking office, thus intentionally limiting any right that might exist here; these limits do not violate the rights of voters any more than the constitutional age requirements for congressmen, senators, and the President.

Will Trump have to run for his third term...or can he just stay in office and appoint himself? I'm thinking if he puts in his dream team in the military, that will allow him to stay in the White House. Without the military you can't be a good dictator.
His support is cratering. He'll be lucky to even survive his current term.

At the time the 12th was written, you only had to be 35 yoa, a citizen and been in the country for 14 years. Once again are you saying Trump doesn't meet those requirements. Also the 22nd hinges on being elected president, it does not exclude being elected VP.

.

Your tendency for gibberish is getting worse. The 12th. Amendment has nothing to do with presidential term limits. The 22nd. defines the term limits a president can have to two.

The fun part is, what if he runs anyway?

With his current polling numbers have him underwater. He can run, but the 22nd. Amendment will prevent him from serving. Just think if President Obama had pulled this kind of crap. ReNaziKlans would howling the moon and demanding his arrest.

The 22nd actually limits the time to 10 years, so a third term would put him past the limit and be unconstitutional.
