Should A Person Whose Term Is Up Be Allowed To Remain In Office?

Jerome Powell is refusing to leave office after his term expires. I can't wait to hear the left's response to this question. It could be a precedent. Trump 2028, no election needed. Trump should just refuse to leave office.

Federal Reserve Chair Jerome Powell announced Wednesday he will remain at the Fed as a governor after his term as chair ends next month

The problem here is that you didn't know his Fed Governor term doesn't end until 2028.

Maybe read up a little, before starting threads.

I'm sure somebody already pointed this out.
But being chairman of the fed, is like being a team captain in high school.
Just because he's no longer captain, doesn't mean he's kicked off the team.

One more thread Title That Opens with a Conspiracy Issue?

Should A Person Whose Term Is Up Be Allowed To Remain In Office?

Powell's term as a FED Governor doesn't expire until 2028.

His term as the Trump Chairman (Trump 45 put him in the position) is expiring and he his stepping down.

He's not remaining in the "Chair Office" he is leaving it, he will leave as a Fed Governor in a couple of years.

WW
True, they have ten-year terms.
His term as a Governor on the board ends in 2028.

Please, can we all come to an agreement that this member needs to spanked? If he posts fabrications and conspiratorial issues in OP thread titles...

So my question is how much influence and authority does powell lose when he is no longer chairman?

He isn't staying as Chairman, just on the board. Nothing stops that from happening.

You see things like this happen all the time at other levels of governance. Locally school boards or city councils may rotate the head position.
So, do you support a governor of the Fed board, using their position to politically block a President, rather than sound fiscal policy?

Blocking a president can most certainly be sound fiscal policy.

Remember when Trump argued for negative interest rates?

Like anything Trump says, or ponders, you allow yourself to twist it....

Just like when he was talking about bleach during Covid...He NEVER said to inject it, but that didn't stop liars like you from twisting it...

You show why we need someone to actually look after the economy.

Trump keeps pushing ‘negative' interest rates. What would that mean for your wallet?

Now granted Fed Chairs have done a horrible job in the past (Bernanke for one) but I cant say that about Powell.

Negative rates would have been a horrible thing to do and yes, Trump called for them.
