Trumps SOTU lies & embellishments

You didn’t condemn him for it either and you had no problem voting for him again.

Say Pence did what Trump wanted, and not counted the electoral votes for some states. Would have that been okay with you?

Because 1) I think he may be right and 2) He's still the person doing what I want done policy wise.

Then we would have had a Constitutional crisis and the next steps would have been very interesting.

The problem is if fraud is discovered AFTER the EC votes and the "winner" is sworn in, the only option would be impeaching, and that would be a problem because impeachment is supposed to be for acts of the President, not acts done to help him win. And in any event Dems would never vote to impeach even if shown evidence even they couldn't ignore.

Then all you would have gotten is Harris as President.

It is a weakness in our election process that once the President is in office, there is almost NO WAY to correct fraud.

Would it have been okay with you if Pence had done what Trump wanted? Similar question, would it have been okay with you if state legislatures had done what Trump wanted which is to vote and replace the electors?

All because Trump believed there was fraud?

I think it would have led to a Constitutional crisis, and maybe we would have gotten some answers at the time.

He can be impeached, and then prosecuted. You lie about the argument right off the bat.
As long as he can claim he was acting as part of his official duties, he can’t be prosecuted ever.

Conservatives on the Supreme Court thought it would be dangerous if the President thought the law applied to them. This is sociopathic behavior.

I can smell your fear.

If congress decides to impeach because he wasn't performing official duties, he can then be prosecuted.

Imagine every State and city that didn't agree with the President's policies charging him with crimes because of it.

That's what you wanted evidently.

I can smell your fear.

I think it would have been needed.

What fear? You are the one ignoring potential fraud because it got you what you wanted.

I asked if it would have been okay with you if Pence had done what Trump wanted.

You still aren’t answering. Not sure what “it” is referring to in your sentence about it being needed. A constitutional crisis is needed or Pence needed to do what Trump said?

I don’t think we need to look into the allegations of a woman who got them from a transcendental dream state. I admit to wanting to ignore that.

That's what a Constitutional crisis would have answered.

Unlike you I don't just assume outcomes.

What about those 300k Georgia ballots with fucked up paperwork?

Congress doesn’t decide what is and isn’t official duties, the court does.

Precedent already prevents state from prosecuting the president for “official duties”, so the ruling doesn’t add anything there.

Because you just can't bring yourself to answer the question, would it have been okay with you if Pence did what Trump asked and not counted the votes?

It would have resulted in a crisis because at the time the evidence simply wasn't there.

The Crisis would have possibly made the evidence come out.

I didn't ask what it would have resulted in.

I asked if it would have been okay with you.

You are so afraid to answer this question.

You are so afraid to answer this question.

And you never answer questions about fraud.

In the end, it being OK or not would have depended on the results.

I believe legitimate evidence of fraud should be investigated and I have no reason to believe it wasn't.

So you'd be okay with Pence refusing to count votes and precipitating a constitutional crisis. What would make that okay?

Head in the sand with a milquetoast statement.

If in the end it proved that fraud had occurred.

Without the crisis the clock was ticking and nothing in the Constitution allows the clock to stop.
