The US constitution is the supreme law and supercedes the UN charterWrong.
Congress ratified the UN charter and all passed UN resolutions, making them into US law.
Congress did NOT "authorize the attack" on Iraq.
The Joint Resolution for the Use of Force in Iraq copped out and just allowed the president to decide on his own.
So Bush was the criminal who lied and claimed that Iraq was about to attack the US with nuclear and biological weapons that they actually never had tried to make at all.
So yes, the US violated US law by invading Iraq on deliberate WMD lies.
The inspectors all agreed Iraq has no WMD or even any programs to make WMD.
Congress most certianly authroized the war
