Because increasing the debt ceiling to borrow and spend more is exactly what Trump is going to do. Seriously, he's on record for saying "just print more money."
I can't imagine him understanding the consequences of doing that. Doesn't he know that's what causes inflation? It causes prices and wages to increase. The totally opposite direction of where this needs to be going.
Prices and wages need to be coming down so that American manufactures (jobs) can stay here and still compete on the global market. So the jobs we lost can come back.
And so inflation will have a normal slow growth as China and Mexico's currency has.
BTW, this is why so many jobs have left the US for China and Mexico.

Trump's a monetary moron. He simply doesn't even care that he left us with trillions more in debt. The same exact thing that Biden is going to do.

The Debt Ceiling is paying your Credit Card bill... The money is already spent and you are now agreeing to settle by increasing the ceiling...

There is no negotiation at that stage. If you don't pay the bill the financial markets will make it far more expensive to release bonds... This will mean the cost of existing debt will go way higher... So it will cost more money...

So why is it Biden's job to convince congress to pay the bill on stuff they have already bought?
