Trump Stated 6 days ago "when the Iran war ends, Oil and gasoline prices will come crashing down!" One more lie, or simply misinformed incompetency?

Iran has held the threat of a closure of the Straight over the head of economies all over the world for 40 years. We've NEVER had the upper hand over Iran on the Straight until now! NEVER!
And that’s somehow different now? All that’s changed is that Iran knows it can get concessions by closing the strait.

Are you kidding? They've been threatening to close the Straight for forty years and have done so on several occasions. It's literally been their biggest trump card whenever they are not getting what they want diplomatically.

Trump has made it very clear that if Iran now tries to close the Straight again, that he will respond with overwhelming military force...something that the Iranians know isn't just talk.

The strait has never been fully closed and Iran can still threaten to close it anytime.

The difference is now they’re aware at how successful they can be.

Trump already threatened to use “overwhelming military force” and didn’t, so I don’t know why you think that Iran would all of a sudden take him seriously. If anything, Trump proved he shouldn’t be taken seriously.

Their air force is smoldering on Iranian runways. Their navy is at the bottom of the sea. Their air defense systems don't exist anymore. That was done in a matter of weeks. The US and Israel have total control of air spaces above Iran. They can literally bomb whatever they want...whenever they want to!

Trump didn't continue those attacks. He gave the Iranian regime the opportunity to save the Iranian people and the IRGC's reply was to close the Straight. That has ALWAYS been their play! This time however Trump turned that strategy on it's ear with a blockade of Iran and in a little over a month Iran's economy was nonexistent and the IRGC couldn't pay it's own members! The IRGC sporadically fires off a few missiles or tries to attack shipping with drones or fast boats and each time they do so the American Navy gives them a thorough beating, destroying everything rather easily.

So now Iran knows what will happen if they do violate this agreement. Trump has been quite clear about what the consequences will be. My belief is that Iran will comply for a period of time so they can sell enough oil to keep their economy off life support but after six months or a year they will attempt to cheat. I say that because that's what they've ALWAYS done! When that happens? Trump will respond with overwhelming force. He'll take out power plants and bridges. He'll reinstate the blockade. And this time? Iran won't have a looming mid term to put pressure on Trump to make a deal again.

And yet the strait is still closed.

You don’t remember how many times Trump threatened to use overwhelming force, set a deadline to open the strait, and kept extending the deadline?

Trump doesn't want to use force. He gives people chances not to have that happen to them. He is however willing to use it if those people continue to misbehave.

Here is the reality of the issue:

Even if the Iran war ended today, US fuel prices aren’t likely to normalize this year

Sorry, US drivers, but don’t expect pump prices to return to prewar levels any time soon, even if the US and Iran agree to a lasting peace deal tomorrow.

As the war with Iran enters its third month, drivers have become infuriated by rising gas prices – and inflation – and Donald Trump is facing a historic backlash in the polls. The president promised recently that relief will be swift once the war ends. “I see it going down very substantially when this is over, I think very rapidly too, at levels that you’ve never seen,” he said.

Experts say it’s not that simple. As the saying goes, gas prices shoot up like a rocket and come down like a feather.

Should peace be declared, prices could fall on a kneejerk move, but it will take several months – maybe years – for prices to retreat to previous levels of about $3 a gallon nationally because checking potentially damaged energy infrastructure in the Middle East and unsnarling supply chains takes time, say energy experts.

Just in case you doubt that article, here are other links that say the same thing:

Here's Why Oil Prices May Remain High Even If the Iran War Ends

Five reasons oil prices won't snap back from Iran war

Trump said they would even go lower than they were before (below $1.83) all of this started:

Is this a bald-faced lie or simply a lack of knowledge (incompetence)?

Trump's promise that we would have affordability this year, has gone out the window

This the classic Trump Hater smear. TRUMP LIES!!! By definition, it is NOT a lie to assert what he and his advisors believe will happen after the Iran conflict ends. Banker is a stage 4 TDS afflicted mess.

Trump doesn't want to use force. He gives people chances not to have that happen to them. He is however willing to use it if those people continue to misbehave.
Yes, we learned he didn’t want to use force to open the strait.

History shows he wasn’t willing to use it when Iran continued to misbehave.

When you keep giving people more chances, you teach them not to fear consequences. He proved his threats were hollow.

They dropped fast since Trump ended the Iranian terror and brought peace the other day

American Presidents have tried to buy off Iran (like Barry and Joe) and Presidents have threatened Iran (like Clinton and the Bush's). Trump blockaded Iran...he looked at them closing the Straight he said fine...if that's how you want to play this game...I'm blockading your ass! Nothing in...nothing out! That was a stroke of genius! Trump has found Iran's Achilles' heel and now the whole world knows how to deal with that regime!

Trump threatened Iran, and when he couldn’t follow through, he’s now buying them off.

Don’t you remember the hundreds of billions they’re getting?

That's from a Gulf States coalition and Iran only gets that money if they behave and spend it on rebuilding their country.
Trump has been quite clear that if Iran pulls their usual routine that he will "bomb the shit out of them!"

If they can't spend it on nukes, ballistic missiles or their proxies...do you have a problem with them being rewarded by their neighbors for NOT acting like Russia? Iran's neighbors more than anyone want Trump to be successful. Russia, China and US liberals are the only ones hoping Iran keeps breaking agreements and China's probably one more blockade from Trump away from calling for regime change themselves! :)

How you guys reacted to the conflict was treason. It is true insurrectionist level. You guys could have gotten more Americans killed and may have given information to the enemy as it is. Imagining a land war with your treasonous hate is alarming.
