Trump has put himself into a corner that has no good outcome! Just a few minutes ago, he stated that the truce with Iran is on "life support".

Iran War Live Updates: Long-Term Energy Crisis Looms as Trump Says Truce Is on ‘Life Support’

It is also evident that Trump's offer of an end to the war (of course, on his terms) was/is based on the fact that gasoline prices have gone up strongly and his promises for inflation, affordability of living, and oil prices dropping have gone "poof" (into the garbage can), meaning that he is losing big time support, even among his loyal supporters, which caused him to offer the peace deal.

He now wants to get rid of the gasoline taxes (which will cause our national debt to soar even move), but that requires congressional acceptance, and he is not likely to get that.

Trump has put himself into a corner that has no good solutions. His incompetence is in full display, given that whatever he does now is likely to end badly.

Best president ever? Hahahahaha!

All true. At the end of this war, Iran will be stronger than ever as Trump has destroyed free passage through the Strait of Hormuz. There has never been a President as staggering inept or corrupt as Trump. This war in the end will cost the US taxpayer trillions. Just like the war in Iraq...only the ramifications of this war will be far worse, if you thought that was possible.

Id say permanent damage to Irans oil fields is about to occur. Without firing a shot.

If Iran chooses Death they will open the spiggots and flood the Persian Gulf with oil.

Will they?

Iran is messing around before his visit to China as President Xi wants to see Trump grovel at the sandelled feet of the Communists.

Trump is going to need to play hardball with China, no trade offs. "We will fund Taiwan and support their independence (this alone is worth hundreds of billions of dollars to the U.S, not offshoring of jobs, but revenues to the U.S), "we will apply maximum pressure to Iran and NO oil will be leaving until they agree to our terms. In time, if they insist, this oil may need to be confiscated and held for safe keeping as leverage against Iran. Also, Cuba will no longer be a free oil supplier to you. In good news, we will not increase tariffs against you or block market access, yet...we have some nice oil for sale if you are interested".

You have been at war for the last 30 years but didn't know it. Trumps legacy rises or falls based on if he visits China as a lion or a mouse. Even for all the criticism I had of Bidens open border and IRA, I thought he and his team did a pretty good job of confronting China.,/

How does your post address the OP? You do not address Trump's incompetence, in fact you are actually supporting it with this quote of yours: "Trump is going to need to play hardball with China, no trade offs".

You think that playing "HARDBALL" with China is going to bring positive results? That XI will back down? Hahaha. Trump is making the kind of mistakes that can cause more problems and not less. Would you support being in a war with China, which has nuclear weapons that could cause us (in the U.S.) big amount of problems and Americans dead?

I would be fine with Iran getting a nuke if they melted a blue city.

Yes, playing hard ball is going to bring positive results. it is the only language the commies understand.

Communists and their allies are accustomed to destroying their own citizens, we see what Iran is doing to their citizens. That is a regular day in China.

Play hardball and give nothing without a larger return. They have a $1T trade surplus. TO hell with them. Without the U.S market their citizens will get more angry, will sell intelligent to Americans intel agencies .

Wake up, this is not a bloody game against a soft government. They oppress their citizens, poison yours and constantly try to bully the world as they bully their own

This is your opinion. If you look, our action with Iran has been taken advantage of by China and Russia

AI Overview

China and Russia have leveraged the 2026 U.S.-Iran conflict to advance their strategic interests by observing U.S. military tactics, gaining economic advantages, and enjoying a distraction that limits U.S. focus on Eastern Europe and the Pacific. The conflict has strained U.S. resources and intelligence capabilities, providing Russia and China with valuable data on American weapons systems and logistics

I did not agree with the war, not without a thorough and strongly coordinated replacement coup plan on the ground. This may be Trumps legacy, capitulation to the very neo-cons who despised him. It is all peculiar to me.

However, the war has begun, I cannot unwind this so I want to see America and Israel succeed. Furthermore, this does not negate the fact that Iranians should be free and from under the boot of their radical government. Without their benefactor and Big Brother in China and Russia the Iranian government could not succeed.

Thus, dealing with CHina is a way to reclaim his MAGA legacy and help deal with Iran. If he fails, his political years will be largely insignificant.

Interesting take. How do you figure Iran comes out of this "stronger"? They've lost trillions of dollars worth of military infrastructure. Their oil fields production will be severely decreased because they were forced to shut down pumping when their storage facilities became full. Their Arab neighbors all see them as an enemy now after Iran targeted THEM with drones and missiles! Their currency is worthless. They have no water. Inflation is at 40%. And their two biggest sponsors...Russia and China did squat for them in this conflict!

Oh, and Iran's neighbors are building oil pipelines so that they don't have to worry about the Iranians closing down the Straight of Hormuz in the future! If Iran loses that threat? They become irrelevant.

So, let me ask you this, are you thinking that Trump is great if he gets a deal, or, are you thinking that Trump is great if he doesn't get a deal?
