Don isn't going to like this unintended consequence of his war with Iran.

‘We are facing the biggest energy security threat in history,’ IEA chief tells CNBC

“We are facing the biggest energy security threat in history,” Fatih Birol, the head of the International Energy Agency (IEA), told CNBC Thursday.

“As of today, we’ve lost 13 million barrels per day of oil ... and there are major disruptions in vital commodities,” he told Steve Sedgwick virtually at CNBC’s CONVERGE LIVE in Singapore.

Birol has previously warned that the Iran war and ongoing closure of the Strait of Hormuz would result in “the largest energy crisis we have ever faced” and urged governments to bolster their resilience with alternative energy sources.

“I expect, first of all, nuclear power, will get a boost ... Renewables will grow very strongly — solar, wind and others — [and] I expect electric cars will benefit from this,” he noted. Alternative fossil fuels could also make a comeback, he noted.

No one has ever accused Dotard of being a strategic thinker. The words he lives by are, "We'll see what happens."

Trumps war with Iran has highlighted why we need to develop alternative energy.
We can’t be held hostage to the Middle East

Biden has been proven correct to get us off dependence on fossil fuels

lol we aren't 'held hostage' by the ME. That's just retarded nonsnese from parrots.

He started replacing ME oil imports, tiny as they were, as soon as he was inaugurated. Same with imports necessary for fertilizer, chips, power plants etc. Stop being just another stupid parrot and read something besides MSN and Daily Kos.

Hey, I remember you from another thread. You're the guy who kept ineffectually claiming trump had taken steps to prepare the US for the consequences of his unnecessary decision to join Bibi's attack on Iran. Gosh, how embarrassing for you.

See that $4 a gallon gas?
That is not for gas from the Persian Gulf, it is for gas produced here.
Gas is a commodity and we are slaves to the global price.

Rubbish. Domestic supply and demand have zero dependency on 'global markets'. it's just good old fashioned price gouging by oil companies, is all. They charge whatever they think the public will pay, and they have idiots like you babbling nonsense to help them get away with it.

Yes, and I posted all the evidence, complete with the dates he addressed the issues. The fact that you are too stupid to even know where to look is more embarrassing than anything anybody else does. Just keep parroting what you're told to; you don't know squat and you make yourself just another noisy halfwit, is all.

Guess what Skippy?
We don’t own that oil, the oil companies do.

They will sell it to the highest bidder

Yes, and like i said, they charge whatever they want to; it has nothing to do with domestic supply and demand, You're retarded and don't even know you agreed with me. As for the oil, we can regulate exports like we always have, since the 1920's. A big chunk of our oil production is from public lands as well, and we can regulate it as well. The state of Texas owns the mineral rights to over 13 million acres of producing lands. They can set whatever terms they want on the sale of that production.

No, they charge the going rate.

Perhaps you should consider proving anything you say. Be prepared to be surprised, and disappointed, in your blind adoration for Dear Leader.

Already did. Look it up, tard. Domestic Oil production is way up, domestic demand hasn't increased, tard. The tiny amount we import from the ME was already being replaced from Canada, Mexico, and now Venezuela before the war, moron.

Why would I use an idiot like you for a source for anything?

Maybe drop the gratuitous insults? You come across as an insecure, petulant, adolescent. BTW, how much has increased US oil production insulated us from the price spike in oil due to the predictable closing of the Strait Dotard somehow missed? WTI is up almost $30 a barrel since the war began.

That’s the million dollar question for dembots

There was a time, where opposing a nuclear Iran was bipartisan…that time doesn’t exist now, and we really need to understand why.

Once again you’re completely WRONG. You would be well advised to stop telling us what Democrats want because you are wrong on every score.

Democrats are the ones who negotiated and signed the joint agreement with a ran to stop them from getting nuclear weapons. Trump is the guy who tore up that agreement, allowing the Iranians to begin enriching uranium once more.

Trump has been trying to start a war with Iran since his first term in office when he ordered the assassination of the Iranian defence minister.

The Mullahs didn’t take the bait then so Trump just declared war on Iran. And this was after claiming he had “obliterated” their ability to enrich uranium.

So either he was lying last summer, when he said their program was obliterated, or he’s lying now that he’s declared an illegal war, and he’s murdering civilians.

But thanks for playing the stupid game of blaming Democrats. It’s really all you have left now that Trump has lost the war.

We have looked it up. Domestic oil production is not “way up”. 2025 production was actually lower than 2024. But keep believing trumps lies.

No they didn’t…Obama signed a non legally binding agreement and handed them millions of dollars to fund their terror

Obama and the Dems ignored the NPT, which was legally binding, while doing it
