Trump says! YOU ain’t interviewing anyone until you vote for impeachment!

Trump administration orders ambassador not to appear at House impeachment probe deposition

Trump is a true cow boy! Calling out the cowards of the county!

God bless you trump! We stand with you!

And when the real Impeachment happens then the Rump Mob just starts the obstruction all over again. We've seen this before. AT what point does it stop. After they drag Rump from the White House will he still be screaming Executive Privilege? And will Pompeo still be trying to block things along with Barr? Nope, Pompeo and Barr will be screaming from the high heavens on what nasty things that bad old Rump tried to get them to do at that point. As they drag both of them off as well.

We traded the Deep for the Mob.
Not sure what you are talking about. The House will lose Impeachment in the Senate, if they even dare to take this farce that far. And that will be followed by a sound repudiation of the House by the US Electorate as they return Trump for a second term.

Trump tells House they can wipe their asses with their "subpoenas" because they haven't held a vote.

The president is correct that the Constitution gives the impeachment power to the House of Representatives. The power is not given to the speaker of the House or to a cabal of partisan committee chairmen. It belongs to the House as an institution.

The House acts as an institution by voting. On the matter of conducting an impeachment inquiry, the House has not voted.

This is a cold political calculation by Pelosi.

She knows Democratic control of the House hinges not on the AOC lefties, for whom impeachment is an easy vote; it hinges on about 41 Democrats who hold seats in districts Trump won in 2016. Impeachment is apt to be unpopular among those voters. Democrats who support it may imperil their re-election and party’s majority.

With Pelosi, it's ALL Politics,

Why is there need to call any type of special inquiry for the various committees' investigations into the president? They already have the subpoena power don't they? The recent Republican led House didn't need to vote on any special inquiry to be able to issue subpoenas to President Obama's administration did they?

After a couple of pages of throat-clearing about the purpored “impeachment inquiry,” the chairmen observe that, even without such an inquiry, the Oversight Committee has its own independent authority to conduct oversight investigations and issue subpoenas. In other words, information is actually being demanded under Congress’s routine authority to scrutinize executive activities. There would be nothing extraordinary about it . . . except that senior Democrats have decided to hang an “impeachment” sign on the exercise,\

Exactly, it's a stunt. They're marketing this as "impeachment" when it is nothing more than what they've been doing all along.

Vote on it if you have an actual case or just STFU.

Pretending these are not serious allegations of wrong doing and calling it a stunt doesn't abrogate their subpoena power. Democrats made the very same argument when the Republicans changed the rules to follow allegations of their own. They issued valid subpoenas and got nearly all of what they requested. What they didn't get they took to court to get.

If the allegation are substantiated it will lead to a vote on some Articles of Impeachment.

Trump is a megalomaniac.

Power tends to corrupt, in trump's case he believes he has absolute power; The Congress has proved him wrong.
Lol the people at the power and we said what trump did was ok.. now go away troll

Looks as if you have been infected with megalomania, you have no power to tell anyone to "go away", and your are too dumb to realize that.

If the House doesn't like the way the WH responds to their subpoenas they are more than welcome to take them to court.

They will need to show the court the Legislative Purpose of the subpoena, if their case is not believable, they will lose.

Exactly on the former but nah on the latter. However since the DOJ is usually the one to prosecute, the civil suit route will be too slow to reveal the information they have sought to matter.

I'm not pretending these may not be serious allegations, but it is a stunt, IMO, or they would hold a vote.

This "we have to investigate to find out" approach is exactly what we heard all along on the Russian Collusion thing. Keep investigating, no real there, there, just keep attacking for political leverage. That horse died, so they needed a similar vehicle and now they've come up with this.

I think this is more of the same, based on their past actions as indicated. After 2 years of Russians! the onus is on them to prove otherwise this time around and I'd think they'd be happy to do it if they thought they had something by holding a simple vote. That they are not doing so makes me think they're just playing poltical games, ie, it's a stunt.

Fool me once and all that.....

I wish the democrats would shut up and do it!

Either impeach or STFU! We've heard enough of your crying to the cameras!
What's the hold up?

Undoubtedly the same hold up that prevented the Russian investigation, the obstruction of justice claim and the impeachment of Kavanaugh. No evidence, just political conjecture that fools the lemmings and gives the left-wing media something to chew on.

To Impeach all they have to do is vote on the Articles. How they get there is entirely up to the Democrats. There is no reason to vote, it will not give their subpoena any more authority to compel documents and testimony than it already has.

Mueller was not working for the House nor did he report to the House. The Republican controlled the House and the Democrats have had no investigatory power as the minority. They have been in control for less than a year.

Sure, but there is no reason NOT to vote either. If they believe what they're saying, of course, it would seem that this vote would benefit them. If they don't have that faith in their own position, neither do I and, after 2+ years of Russian collusion, neither should anyone else, IMO.

"They don't want to vote" "they don't have to vote" isn't enough, not after watching the same thing play out with the Russian Collusion "Investigation". They did this with Mueller and they're doing the same thing again, IMO. "If we find something, fine, if we don't, fine, either way we get to mud-sling"

That's nothing but a stunt and the onus is on them to prove otherwise. Believe them if you'd like, their track record leads me to not believe a word of it.

The demand they hold a vote before they can interview anyone is the stunt.

The DOJ investigated the Russian's sweeping interference and collusion by Trumps campaign, not the GOP led house. The Dems have had control of the House less than a year. The Administration is stonewalling the House's investigation relating to the Mueller Report too.

Trump administration orders ambassador not to appear at House impeachment probe deposition

Trump is a true cow boy! Calling out the cowards of the county!

God bless you trump! We stand with you!
That is exactly what I would have said.

They are getting all the "benefits" of impeachment inquiry without having to put their names on a vote.

Force their hands. Good strategy.

.

and yet more and more people are coming forward and being interviewed by the Dems...despite Trump's wishes
Why behind closed doors?

Are you for impeachment?

.

Wrong.... TO even begin impeachment anything the house must authorize it as a body... The Constitution is perfectly clear on this matter.."The House of Representatives SHALL.... have the sole power of impeachment." There is nothing ambiguous about it..

Wrong.... TO even begin impeachment anything the house must authorize it as a body...

Really? Can you point to the line in our Constitution that says the entire body must vote on the an Impeachment Inquiry before any Article of Impeachment gets drawn up, debated and voted on? It's not there. Just like the requirement that the Senate must hold hearings on SC nominees by the President, it's not there. Mitch was under no constitutional obligation to do so, and neither is Nancy. Get over it.

So we're going stunt for stunt. I'd agree that the stonewalling is a maneuver meant to smoke dems out of their position and they could easily put it to bed by holding that vote.

And yet, they don't. until they do and make it official this is looks to me like nothing but more of the same nonsense they've been perpetrating since Trump took office.
