Trump does NOT want a personal 747. That would cost way too much to operate even for him.

If this particular aircraft becomes personal property of Donald J Trump that he can sell for $400 million and deposit the proceeds into his personal checking accounting that he can use to buy ketchup for his well done steaks, I do not think that is a good thing.

If Trump will not PERSONALLY benefit financially from the transaction, I see no issue.

2. Boeing has an order for two new 747s since 2015 with delivery to be by 2022, now projected to be 2027
3. Trump is mad, businessmen never accept lateness without ranting and raving, a new 747 should calm him, but it would still require many upgrades before Trump could use it.

Take the 747 gift. It doesn't have any of the required counter-measures that the current AF-1 has.

It could be retrofitted with those counter-measures and replace the 40-year old AF-1.
