Trump Now Gets a $1.8BN Taxpayer Slush Fund to Pay Others

Yes I do know the difference between a contractor and independent contractor

Hence why I know you aren’t even trying to differentiate the two
No. That's why you make your claim with no explanation or proof! ;)

On other media as well, but this one is not behind a paywall. The Trump run DOJ has awarded Trump a $1.8Bn settlement fund as part of his dropping his case against the US Government.

DoJ confirms $1.8B 'lawfare' fund as part of IRS deal

The United States Department of Justice announced on Monday that acting US Attorney General Todd Blanche (pictured) created "The Anti-Weaponization Fund," which will receive $1.8 billion from the judgment fund to "provide a systematic process to hear and redress claims of others who suffered weaponization and lawfare." The establishment of the fund was part of US President Donald Trump's settlement agreement to drop his $10 billion lawsuit against the Internal Revenue Service (IRS).

The fund will be authorized to issue formal apologies and provide financial compensation to claimants, with any remaining funds after the program ends reverting to the federal government. Filing a claim will be voluntary, with no partisan criteria required for eligibility, and the fund will also submit quarterly reports to the attorney general detailing recipients and the type of relief granted. It will also be subject to audits at the attorney general's direction.
This is a righteous act. Trump helping those who were destroyed by a weaponized judicial system because they supported him.

Littlejohn himself was not an independent contractor, I agree. But in general, the govt can't be sued for what an employee of a contractor does....those cases are few and far between. We'd be broke as a nation if they could and all of our taxes would be going towards it.

"but in general..."

This was massive negaliance on the part of the IRS, to allow this employee to abuse their position and release all this personal information, with the intent to harm individuals,

The lawsuit was from Trump as a person, and Eric Trump, and the Trump organization.

Can you explain to me how those entities got $10 billion in harm done to them that they wanted this restitution for, from this leak to the press? All of Trump's wealth with 60 years of working at it, had only come to $6-$10 billion.

Can you explain to me HOW this restitution fund for 1/6ers, is restitution for Eric Trump's and the Trump organization's lawsuit against the IRS, for the harm they claimed they received from the tax release by Littlejohn?

THE WHOLE SETTLEMENT IS A FRAUD being committed.

If someone from 1/6 felt there was vindictive prosecution done towards them, the time to do that, was in their trials where it would've been investigated.

And, Congress can also make law to fund this 1/6er fund. Those are the LEGAL ways to do it....not via this SCAM.

EDIT!
Or a class action suit against the DOJ.

They didn't get $10 million in damages...so why should anyone explain that to you? They weren't asking for it in restitution, they were asking for it in damages. Resitution and damages are two different things.

What restiution frund for 1/6ers are you talking about?

Yet you still have no proof of negligence on the part of Trump's IRS as none was ever proven in court. You're just assuming. Kind of like you assumed you gave me a link to an investigation showing the pipe bomber is s Democrat, but then your assumption turned out to be wrong.

Did they have the tax information? yes. Was it released? yes.

They sued for $10 BILLION, not $10 million.

Ok damages which includes restitution.

The $1.8 BILLION DOLLAR SLUSH FUND for his friends that committed crimes for him, and spent their fortunes on Trump the candidate and lying and devising illegal things involved with the election being stolen, like the Mr Pillow guy, Chesboro, Eastman, Giuliani, proud boys, oath keepers....all who thought Trump the candidate would have their backs and come to their aid.... He didn't do that for the most part...not financially make them good, for what they illegally did for him.

So he and Blanche devised this fraudulent scheme to get us tax payer's to pay them for him.

You are trying to apply negligence (failure exercise reasonable care) with an individuals purposeful criminal activity.

If the IRS defined data retention, access and control requirements to Booz Allen as the contractor and applied them to the data and their employees - that is not negligence.

As an example, say a gun store owner sells a firearm to an individual and complies with all sales and documentation requirements. A year later the individual uses the firearm to commit a crime. The store owner is not negligent.

If this isn't fraud, why would Trump's government settle with him when they didn't have to?

Ok, billion, million whatever

No, they weren't claiming restitution. Restituton is when money is owed back that was stolen, or property that was damaged

This was just for damages.

Suing and asking for damages, doesn't mean you get the damages you are asking for.

I have no clue what sort of 1.8 billion dollar slush fund for friends that committed crimes for him you are referring to.

What he did ask for in a settlment, was that some money, already earmarked by Congress for the Settlement Fund, be specifically for victims of a govt weaponization. Anyone can apply that has a case.

You're just saying it was negligence without any proof. And since it didn't go to court, there is no proof. That leaves you stuck with making baseless claims you can't prove.

No I am not....with that said, someone can be both criminal and civilly liable

and I am not saying the IRS is criminally liable

And make no mistake. Settling this case together was their scheme all along. Due to the expired statute of limitations, Trump couldn't sue. Any court would have dismissed it quickly on those grounds.

Here are the damages allowed to claim. See if you can get to $10 billion.

(B) the sum of—

(i) the actual damages sustained by the plaintiff as a result of such unauthorized inspection or disclosure, plus

(ii) in the case of a willful inspection or disclosure or an inspection or disclosure which is the result of gross negligence, punitive damages, plus

(2) the costs of the action, plus

(3) in the case of a plaintiff which is described in section 7430(c)(4)(A)(ii), reasonable attorneys fees, except that if the defendant is the United States, reasonable attorneys fees may be awarded only if the plaintiff is the prevailing party (as determined under section 7430(c)(4)).
