That fact however has not prevented the spoiled and affluent US and some of Western Europe from adding additional regulatory environmental compliance that hamstrings production doesn’t make a lot of sense when the vast majority of the world won’t do the same. Come to find out, people that are so spoiled and can’t eat have bigger, more pressing priorities. I bet you won’t find a lot of starving vegans in Africa either.

You're kind of missing the point. The objection to XL is that it runs right over the largest aquifers in the country, and a leak or terrorist attack on them could pollute the water used by millions.

It is simple. I am saying that climate change is not an existential threat in anything approaching the near term, and in all likelihood, we can’t stop it anyway.

Move towards cleaner and alternative sources in a way that doesn’t put our country at a distinct economic advantage because I can promise you that is what China, India, Russia and most of the world is doing. We aren’t going to die due to climate change in our, our kids, our grandkids or our grandkid’s grandkid’s lifetimes.
