Trump actually said that in Wisconsin. And he went on to say, "Because we test, we have cases."

This is absolute lunacy. It's the same as saying, "If we don't test people for cancer, no one will have cancer." This is wishful thinking on a stupefying scale. And people are dying because of it. You can't magically make Covid-19 disappear. You have to work at it. And that includes social distancing, wearing a mask in public, all that stuff that shouldn't be political but somehow has become political. Just look at the data and ask yourself: Why are many areas of the world reducing their infection rate, but in the U.S. it's going up?

Ha ha ha. 99% of the CURRENT cases worldwide are mild to harmless:

ACTIVE CASES
3,972,866

Currently Infected Patients

3,915,482 (99%)
in Mild Condition

57,384 (1%)
Serious or Critical

Sheer lunacy to pounce over quotes that you try to castigate him with, when they are irrelevant, you are a known Trump basher.... it is boring and hypocritical.

They do not have a national leader(?) like trump who only thinks only of his re-election instead of the country he is supposed to lead. Self serving attitude is not considered to be a good leadership trait. He consistently proves it is a horrible trait in general and particularly in a leadership position. It is a mark of bad character. I have told people here before, character counts.

You are a farking moron.

We are expanding testing and getting a lot of asymptomatic cases that would never have been recorded as COVD19 because they would not have sought medical help.

Good grief, where do you idiots come from?

IN CONTEXT Trump was saying our numbers are worse than other countries because they don't test...so they have no confirmed cases.

If you would put your TDS on hold for 5 minutes you would know that already.
Where do you get your information? Other countries test -- they test a lot! And then they contact trace, and isolate people who have been in contact with someone who has the virus. That's how you beat this thing. Not by pretending that it's not a problem.

First of all, Trump did say that "If we didn't have testing, we wouldn't have cases." Which is insane. And yes, testing is revealing asymptomatic cases -- but those people can still spread the virus. Possibly even more so, since they probably don't even know that they're infected. And even though they may not get sick, they certainly could infect someone who might get sick, and even die. People who have the virus, even if they don't have any symptoms, must be quarantined so they won't infect anyone else.

:cuckoo:
This is a pattern with you. You seem to take obviously figurative language very literally on a consistent basis and it confuses you. You don't know the difference. You're just clueless. It's a telltale indicator of brain damage.

That's kind of horseshit.

The ugly number is not the number of cases identified by testing, the number is the number of DEATHS.

of 489,000 deaths worldwide, 125,000 of them have been in the US. - Let that sink in for a second. We have 4% of the world's population, but 26% of the deaths.

Other countries have tested more, that's how they've been able to control the disease. They started earlier and more comprehensively.
