I have no idea who this Institute for Economics & Peace is, but they seem to consider themselves experts at stuff like this. They rank the USA at 103rd but clearly ignoring a whole lot of stuff. Anyhow, here's their top ten:

Iceland

Denmark

Austria

New Zealand

Portugal

Czech Republic

Switzerland

Canada

Japan

Slovenia

I'm wondering is the resident Austrian on one discussion board agrees with this after the influx of refugees into her country.

Eh. Not sure about the U.S. being 103rd, but the top ten sound about right. Those Nordic countries have always had a very high standard of living, and very little crime.

Slovenia? someone is mistaking "boring" for "peaceful"

I'd love to live in New Zealand.

They come out with these lists all the time, and I've seen New Zealand ranked as #1 on quite a few. It's always had one of the best quality of living standards. I'd love to move there.

Notice how they all share one thing in common.... they don't suffer from having of multiple cultures at odds with each other.

The muslim migration in Europe will change that list in short order.

I'm not sure you've been but if you travel in any of these countries. It's multi ethnicities. You maybe surprise if I tell you that most of these countries has large Muslims population that migrated since the 50s. Iceland is the lowest and the largest is Canada.

Yes. I lived in Europe for 3 years. It isn't anything like the US.
Its a lot safer isnt it ?
That is the benefit of a unified culture. I wish we had that here.

This is not about street crime, it is about involvement in wars and terrorism.

These countries are all U.S. allies, so they have us to fight their wars and terrorism for them.

Our young men and women die and get their limbs blown off for them, so they can have "peace."

So to the people of these so-called "peaceful" countries, I as an American say this to you:

Even though I never hear you say "thank you" you are so incredibly fucking welcome.

Risible. The US is the biggest war monger in the World. Europe is currently dealing with the fall out from the Bush wars.

They didn't have to take the refugees in. That was their choice.

It is the civilised thing to do. It is wrong to think you can fuck up the world and then just walk away.
