So much for the claim it's about "Illegal" Immigration

Try to focus, Joe. I never said that the brothels were hard to find.
Well, they must be, because ICE hasn't found a single one of them. Given the kinds of Dregs that are getting recruited by ICE these days, a brothel is the only place they might get laid

Tell that to the families who lost loved ones to Bidens flood of criminals.
Funny that you don't hold gun owners to the same standard.

It's a great thing if they are properly vetted and vaccinated.

What was your objection to requiring vaccinations for immigrants? That seems weird for a Democrat.
I don't have any objection to that.

Show me any post in which you criticize people for attaking ICE if ICE was hunting down all those people. Or criticized Margarita Hollen for flying down to Venezuala to have lunch with one of those people.
ICE wasn't hunting those people, and given how many innocent people they've arrested and whisked off to Concentration Camps, they really don't get the benefit of the doubt with me.

We see JoeBlow still doesn't know what "concentration camp" means.

We often hear the claim from MAGA racists that they aren't against immigration, they are against ILLEGAL immigration.

And then they pull stuff like this.

Foreigners in the U.S. who want a green card will need to leave and apply in their home country, the Trump administration announced Friday, in a surprise change to a longstanding policy that sowed confusion and concern among aid groups, immigration lawyers and immigrants.

For over half a century, foreign nationals with legal status have been able to apply for and complete the entire process for permanent residence in the United States — including individuals married to U.S. citizens, holders of work and student visas, and refugees and political asylum seekers, among others.

The changes comes on top of steps the administration has already taken to restrict and limit entry for people from dozens of countries. In some cases, there are outright bans on travel from those countries, while people from others face pauses in visa processing. Experts and attorneys warned that forcing people from those countries to return home to apply for a green card would result in them being barred from coming back.

Joe's Comment - This will probably make the problem worse, not better. It just means that out of 13 million or so immigrants with some level of legal status won't go home, they'll go underground.

This is such fake news it makes Santa Claus, The Easter Bunny, and The Tooth Fairy all appear to be real. This isn't about revoking anybody's legal status, it's about people who want to have a legal status. Even I (the one with special needs) know that. 🙄

Immigration is still a great idea.

Most immigrants I know are hard working and just want to make a better life for their families.
The situation now is that many parts of the country are under strain. Some regions are experiencing water shortages, and rapid population growth is making those shortages worse. We don’t need, nor can we afford, any more people. At the same time, many Americans are struggling and would like the opportunity to improve their lives.

Looking ahead, the pressure on the system will increase. As AI and automation advance, they are expected to reduce the number of available jobs in many sectors, which will leave more people competing for fewer opportunities. The more people the government must support, the greater the strain on public resources and infrastructure.

For these reasons and more, we need to start planning for the future now and consider how population growth, resource limits, and technological change will affect the country in the coming years.

Except it's not a more "orderly" process,
False. It certainly does impose some order to deal with the bureaucratic mess.
it's just making life harder for people who are trying to follow the rules.
Following the rules includes applying from home. And I don’t care that it might make things harder for those seeking permanent residence in our nation.

If you came here in a student visa (a temporary grant of the privilege of being here), then your purpose for being here (and your visit’s duration) are determined by that visa. Those visa holders aren’t simply having their plans complicated. They are simply denied permission to use their visa visit as a way to apply for a green card. Those not here on visas don’t get to apply by simply being here as a temporary guest.

It's going to have the opposite effect.
Nah. You’re being silly.
ICE can't catch the 14 or so undocumented immigrants who are here now, they are going to push millions of people who were following the rules into the "illegal" category.
Actually, ICE does a solid job of seeking out the illegal immigrants. It’s a lot more than 14, too, you idiot.

And it doesn’t push anyone into the “illegal alien” category. In fact, a very bad way to ask the U.S. to grant you a green card would be to overstay your temporary visa.

Well, um, yeah, you do have special needs if you can't see what this is about.

It's about making these people go back to their countries of origin, many of which we have travel bans against, to apply for re-admission when they've lived here for years.

Why not?

Frankly, we are kind of shooting ourselves in the foot by making it more difficult.

If a student has gotten a degree in this country and has married an American, you've added a specialized individual to your population. Making them go back to their home country and apply (and you just know Trump will use this as an excuse to never process their paperwork) just wastes time.

Actually, ICE does a solid job of seeking out the illegal immigrants. It’s a lot more than 14, too, you idiot.
I meant to type 14 million, but no, they don't do a good job if they are deporting less people than Obama did.

And it doesn’t push anyone into the “illegal alien” category. In fact, a very bad way to ask the U.S. to grant you a green card would be to overstay your temporary visa.
Assumes the Trump Nazis are going to be in power forever.

Quite the contrary, the next Democrat will reverse all these policies, and given that Trump has backed off from sending the ICEstapo into big cities where they aren't welcome, why not take your chances?

You know know, millions of these people are going to sue over this rule change, and that's going to drag their cases out for years.

Yes it should. It's like somebody else mentioned on here. They don't want people to take advantage of the system.

Who is taking advantage of the system?

The system is already broken, it's why we have an illegal immigration problem to start with.

We have jobs, they have bodies. The government foolishly tries to separate the jobs from the bodies.

No, you missed the point.

Kind of like you miss the point of Christianity, but that's another discussion.
No. You missed the point. Or you recognized it and chose to lie.

Either way, your pathetic commentary about you believe Christianity is, was clearly intended as a deflection.

Nobody gives a rat’s ass about your views on anybody’s faith or religion.

No part of your post had Even a tiny bit of merit.

You’re very emotional. Take a Midol.

It's all smoke and mirrors.

The Trump admin, when fully fleshed out the numbers reveal an administration that is full of shit.
Their 'mass deportations' were a ruse. Their strict immigration policies are a ruse as well.
-No wall...still
-600,000 Chinese student visas over two years is consistent with past administrations (D and R)
-230,000 total were deported in 2025--in comparison, Obama deported 238,000 in his first year.
-Moratoriums on key workers in specific industries ensure there will be no raids or mass deportations (Hospitality, farming, construction)
Are your guys still protecting the Maryland man? Oh yeah, he was just allowed to traffic illegals in TN. I forgot. Was he the "Maryland Man" that the SS took out tonight in DC? Oh I guess not---that was another 'Maryland Man' SMH

I don't remember Jesus saying anything about deporting children or sending them to concentration camps.

And I went to Catholic School for 12 years. The nuns never mentioned that once.

No part of your post had Even a tiny bit of merit.

Actually, it had a lot of merit. Trump's mass deportation plans are counter-productive. Instead of encouraging immigrants to do it the right way, he's discouraging them from bothering at all.

Half of undocumented immigrants didn't sneak past a fences on the Souther border. They came here on Student, Tourist, or work Visas that have expired. Making it easy to apply for a green card keeps them legal and keeps track of them.

This will just create more undocumented immigrants, not less. And the ICEstapo is failing miserably at rounding up the people they are looking for because the public has turned on them.
