Really, so you actually do not thing this is happening at hospitals in New York City? Where is your evidence to show that hospitals in New York City have NOT had to hire refrigerated trucks to store the overflow of dead bodies?
Normal death rate in the U.S. is about 7,500 people per day. At 8.5 million people in New York City that is 2.2 %. That would suggest that NYC sees about 200 deaths a day on a normal day. They reported 90 dead yesterday from Covid-19. So, this isn't an order of magnitude higher.
Also it assumes that all deaths are in NYC.
Again, assuming that all 90 deaths are in NYC, this is a signifcant increase.
Not sure if the refrigerator truck story keeps it in perspective.
Surely there are days when deaths in NYC reach 220.....are they always at the ragged edge.
