That argument is null because if we can spend and print a deficit then we can cut taxes for one as well. It doesn't bother me that much because I don't mind if government goes down. Their spending is their problem.

Eliminate taxes? I think Reagan did quite a good job there but soon realized it was failing. Since then it has become the mantra of the republican party. And let's face it the Bible was right when it comes to money. Anyway as our infrastructure falls down, this idea is still preached from the pulpits of idiocy. But then who will pay for our security?

Not necessarily. The 16th Amendment gives the federal government the authority to levy an income tax, it doesn't say that they have to do so. They could stop the income tax if they wanted to. Obviously that's not going to happen, but it could technically happen.

I'd say the only item listed with the possibility of actually happening is the last one, but the Democrats will go along with that as well. I believe Obama just asked for $40 billion more for Afghanistan.
