No. I certainly do NOT mean Diane von Frankefeinstein.
She's an example of the PROBLEM. That bitch should be under criminal investigation.
She is hardly an illustration of the kind of thing I mean when I talk about actual checks, balances and oversight. No no. I am talking about actual scrutiny. Not the fake shit that's done most of the time, but REAL oversight. What's the point in having a "reporting" requirement if our Congresscriters and staffs don't USE the reported information to come to enough insight to ask probing questions? The FISA warrant for Verizon customer's metadata should NEVER have come as a "surprise" to anybody in Congress.
And, I wasn't limiting it to just the Senate Committees. I include the House oversight committees AND the judicial branch.
