1) No, he was addressing the issue.
2) Meh, he's getting guns off the streets and not only does it make it harder for crims to get them, but easier for the police to trace them.
3) As I said, two sprees in 30 years. Those odds are better than more than 1 day stateside.
4) Meh, with regards to criminals. They are not running amok now. The ban was enacted in the 1990s. This from the stats dept:
