I'd say Alexander the Great has been well studied and, arguably had an even greater influence on Western culture than Jesus. Mohammad, the Budda, and Gengis Khan would be on a short list too.


Was he worshipped as God because he really did perform those miracles or were miracles attributed to him because he was worshipped as God?


Do you believe in the Golden Plates of Joseph Smith or the dictation of an angel to Mohammad? Plenty of people do and they are ready to die for their beliefs.

Just like you have to bring up Joseph Smith to argue Jesus was worshipped as God for no good reason. Unfortunately for you it was also recorded by non-Christian historians that early Christians credited Jesus with performing miracles and Jesus was condemned for sorcery. Why would they charge Jesus with sorcery if there wasn't any reason to charge Jesus with sorcery?

My point was that instead of arguing over what people of the past may have said--or not said--about Jesus, what are we learning about him as we welcome him into our own lives today? case has to be considered by a judge or panel thereof. They actually had
real courts back then and real judges. As to the statement "the pharisees
accused Jesus of sorcery and blasphemy"----such a case would not be the
purview of Pilate. Sorcery and Blasphemy would be the purview of a religious court. Pilate would have had nothing to do with it. The only function Pilate had in relation to "crime" was the crime of SEDITION AGAINST ROME. It is clear to me that nothing has to make any sense at all in Jelly-bean school. For the record----making a claim that "the Pharisees" brought a jew to Pilate to
be judged for 'sorcery and/or blasphemy' crosses the "RED LINE" into psychosis. The pharisees would have better success with Pilate by simply
claiming "this guy is a pharisee"
