They Need to Slash Military Spending Big Time

Military spending is one of the most effective ways the US Govt can and does spend money. A lot of that money is used to purchase from the private sector, who is using the funds to create new and better technology that then later is used for the better of all of the American people. GPS, internet, come to mind...down to new technology in clothing.

I have no problem spending on tech and research.
The problem is a small fraction of the military budget is spent on research. They need to audit and reign in the wasteful spending.

We can eliminate at least $700B over 5 years in wasteful military spending.

The GOP has spent wildly and wastefully on military spending. The GOP will hand Billions to any military program despite the deficit.

The Dems are right there shoveling $$$ with the GOP.

The GOP has never cut military spending.
Only the Dems cut military spending.
Anytime the Dems try and cut military spending the GOP resists.
The GOP constantly tries to increase military spending.

Actually most of it is spent on buying new weapons and gear...which is the tech and research

I believe we need deep cuts in military spending but will stop short of no more arms until we use up what we now have.
