These are the people you folks want to kick out.

Ed, they had brutal dictators long before we got involved.

Bottom line is that we have a legal process for immigration to follow. The president needs to follow these guidelines we have in place.

And you know as well as I do that if the children are allowed to stay, the families will follow.
You will be screaming that these anchor children need to be reunited with their families, and it's the just and compassionate thing to do.

Send them home and reunite them with their families, it is the compassionate thing to do.
So much easier to do now, than later.

Those children did not travel thousands of miles to be sent home. They are trying to escape from gangs and drug cartels who would kill them.

Sending them home is NOT "the compassionate thing to do"

Why don't you right wing turds be honest for once in your lives. You are not thinking about those children, you are only thinking about YOURSELVES. It is the right wing core of FEAR that drives you folks. Always has and always will.

It is a general popular error to suppose the loudest complainers for the public to be the most anxious for its welfare.
Edmund Burke

Fine, terminate the parental rights and give them up for adopting into American families. I'll adopt a 6 year old girl. I've always wanted a daughter. I adopt more if she has siblings. how about you? What will you do personally to solve this problem? Show your compassion.

Here's How The U.S. Sparked A Refugee Crisis On The Border, In 8 Simple Steps

The 57,000 children from Central America who have streamed across the U.S.-Mexico border this year were driven in large part by the United States itself. While Democrats and Republicans have been pointing fingers at each other, in reality the current wave of migration from El Salvador, Guatemala and Honduras has its roots in six decades of U.S. policies carried out by members of both parties.

Since the 1950s, the U.S. has sown violence and instability in Central America. Decades of Cold War gamesmanship, together with the relentless global war on drugs, have left a legacy of chaos and brutality in these countries. In many parts of the region, civil society has given way to lawlessness. It's these conditions the children are escaping.

The story of the U.S.-led destabilization of Central America began in 1954, with the overthrow of the elected Guatemalan government of President Jacobo Arbenz. A populist leader inspired by President Franklin Roosevelt’s “New Deal,” Arbenz had plans for an ambitious land redistribution program that aimed to help a nation composed largely of landless farmers.

But those plans butted against the interests of the United Fruit Company, a U.S. corporation that owned much of GuatemalaÂ’s arable land, along with railroad infrastructure and a port. The CIA helped engineer the overthrow of the Arbenz government, laying the foundation for decades of government instability and, eventually, a civil war that would claim more than 200,000 lives by the 1980s. That war wasn't fully resolved until the 1990s.

“Our involvement in Central America has not been a very positive one over the last 60 years,” Rep. Beto O’Rourke, a Democrat from El Paso, Texas, told The Huffington Post. “You can go back to the coup that overthrew Jacobo Arbenz in 1954, fully backed by the Eisenhower administration and the Dulles brothers, who had an interest in the United Fruit company, whose fight with the government really precipitated the crisis that led to the coup."

It set a pattern. "You look at the decades following that, and the military strongmen, and the juntas, and the mass killings, and it's no wonder Guatemala is in such terrible shape today," O'Rourke said.

Along with the decades-long war against leftists in Guatemala, the U.S. organized and funded El Salvador's protracted war with the FMLN, a left-wing guerrilla movement. The U.S. also funded counterinsurgency efforts in Honduras, which became a staging ground for the Contras. Death squads flourished, more than 75,000 people died and civil society collapsed.

If today's crisis were simply a result of Central American confusion about the president's policy regarding immigrant children, as is widely alleged, one might expect children to be coming in equal numbers from every Central American country. But notably, Nicaragua -- a country that borders Honduras, and one in which the U.S. failed to keep a far-left government from coming to power -- is today relatively stable and not a source of rampant migration. It is led by President Daniel Ortega, whose Sandinista movement took power in 1979 and held off the U.S.-backed Contras until an opposition government was elected in 1990.

"You see the direct effects of these Cold War policies," Greg Grandin, a professor of Latin American history at New York University, told The Huffington Post. "Nicaragua doesnÂ’t really have a gang problem, and researchers have traced this back to the 1980s and U.S. Cold War policy."

With wars come refugees. The young people who streamed into the United States from Central America in the late '70s and '80s had deep experience with violence.

Correct.

The cause of the issue is complex and varied, dating back decades, having nothing to do with the current Administration and its immigration policies. To maintain otherwise is partisan idiocy.

Apparently some people still haven't learned from history.

Do you KNOW history?

United Fruit's Overthrow of the Guatemalan Government

By the end of the 1940s, the American-owned United Fruit Company controlled 42 percent of the land in Guatemala and wasn't using much of it.

In the early 1950s, democratically elected Guatemalan president Jacobo Arbenz carried out a land reform package that included the forced purchase of idle land owned by the United Fruit Company and redistributing it to indigenous farmers. The company approached Allen Dulles, the former president of United Fruit in the 1930s who had become the director of the CIA, and offered to use their fruit transportation network to smuggle arms into the country to spark a rebel movement.

Dulles, framing land redistribution as a patently communist act and a sign that Guatemala was courting the Soviets as patrons, sanctioned a CIA-backed overthrow of Arbenz, led by Guatemalan army officer Carlos Castillo Armas. The U.S. agreed to supply aircraft for the rebel army to bomb Guatemala City, set up propaganda outlets in Latin America, bribed Arbenz's military commanders into surrendering and pressured the American media not to report on the story.

In 1954, Arbenz resigned and was replaced by Castillo Armas, who outlawed political parties and shut down opposition media outlets. In 1960, a 36-year-long civil war began in Guatemala.

So to recap, we have a core group of anti American pieces 9f shit who won't speak out against human trafficking, who don't care what happens to those kids when they are being trafficked, and who are okay with them being funneled into slavery, the drug trade and prostitution....because the 7s deserves to suffer at the hands of criminal thugs. Sheesh Icould have called that from the beginning. Wish loons would surprise us once in a while

...Those children did not travel thousands of miles to be sent home...
That was certainly not their intention - nolo contendere.

But that is certainly what is going to happen to most of them.

...They are trying to escape from gangs and drug cartels who would kill them.,,
It is the responsibility of their families and home governments to prevent that from happening.

...Sending them home is NOT 'the compassionate thing to do'...
After suffering an invasion of 12,000,000 Illegal Aliens, compassion-centric arguments are (quite understandably) falling upon deaf ears, in favor of pragmatic arguments.

Sign of the times... ya'll went to that well once too often.

Not to mention refusing to set a dangerous precedent that would encourage increasingly larger hordes of others to come here, to try to pull the same shit on us.

No thank you.

...Why don't you right wing turds be honest for once in your lives. You are not thinking about those children, you are only thinking about YOURSELVES. It is the right wing core of FEAR that drives you folks. Always has and always will...
Indeed, much of America is thinking about itself.

People from other countries can think about whatever they like, on their own home soil, not ours.

"No" means "no".

Explain something to me, Sallow:

Would you like it if your government suddenly forced you to house, feed, clothe, and practically accommodate complete strangers in your own home? Would you let me live in your home for free? No? Then why are we letting all of these illegals stream across the border? Why are we dumping them on unsuspecting municipalities under the guise of compassion?

I think not.

Yeah, Runs with Scissors might have to compete with one of them for that busboy position he never applies for.

We are not letting them "Stream" across the border. They are being stopped at the border and processed in accordance with a law George W. Bush signed.

WHen these kids get asylum, they'll probably be more productive than you.

LMAO. Maybe there could be a trade? I would trade Temple for 100 immigrant children.
I got a feeling that we in the USA would be getting the better deal in that trade. At least these kids will eventually find a job.

Something Temple seems to have no interest in.

Good point, but what country would take him? Seriously, I can't think of another country I dislike enough to wish him on.

Blow it out your ass, junior.

I served-up an honest reflection of the concerns of a great many of your countrymen.

And, because it does not meet with your personal approval, you resort to denigration of your opposites.

If there is any cowardice at-work here, it is the cowardice of those who cannot effectively counterpoint such strong concerns and articulations, who have a pro-Illegals agenda, and who have nothing left up their sleeves, with which to counter such strong declarations, except ad hominem attack and hastily cobbled-together strawmen and other tactics reminiscent of a 5th grade debate-club starter-kit.

I have not assaulted you in analogous terms, but it is readily apparent, for all to see, both who fired the first 'personal' shot, and who was unable to cope with the material presented.

Not even close, pissant.

Your 'ilk' has proven it over, and over and over. Just as you did here. It has been know for centuries, and it is just as true today...

Liberalism is trust of the people, tempered by prudence; conservatism, distrust of people, tempered by fear.
William E. Gladstone (1809 – 1898)

Saw this today.

It's hard to watch.

I feel nothing but empathy for this poor kid.

She watched her brother get shot and was told she was about to become property..or die.

Cable News Finally Asks A Real Migrant Teenager About The Immigration Crisis | ThinkProgress

Maria, a 17-year-old, paid a coyote to bring her into the United States after her brother was killed by a gang and she was threatened with death if she did not join it. Fighting tears, she described to Díaz-Balart the process of crossing the border as “horrible” and explained that she decided to enter the country “just to save my own life so that I could live my dreams, so I could help my family.” Deportation “would be a tragedy, it would be a certain death for me,” she added. “Everything that’s happened to me in my life, I would just know that that would be the last day.” Watch it:

It's ******* incredible that people want to turn their backs on these kids.

Even moreso since it was this country that created the hellholes they live in.

Thank you Bill Ayers...go now to Honduras and do your work to save the world...piece of cake for a dreamy eyed liberal.

"Ilk"?

What "Ilk" would that be, bright boy?

"Proven 'it'?"

Just what the hell is "it"?

...Just as you did here...
Once you've managed to serve-up a coherent definition of "it", in this context, feel free to serve-up a coherent illustration of "it", during the course of our exchange.

You tell 'em, Plato.

"...Liberalism is trust of the people, tempered by prudence; conservatism, distrust of people, tempered by fear..."
Meaningless jingoistic bombast, in our present context, and entirely off-topic.

The sentiment expressed by the French Folk who gave us that statue were referring to American's capacity to absorb LEGAL immigrants from all over the world, during the 19th century.

Not a 12,000,000 soul invasion of ILLEGAL ALIENS from one concentrated area on our southern border, in the 21st.

Ditto for a swarm of 50,000 to 100,000 Illegal Alien kids who have deluged our border regions in recent weeks.

Hell, even Fearless Leader has sent back the first plane-load or two.

But, I'm sure, the few remaining Orgasmic ObamaBots will find a way to re-interpret that, as well, as an Immigration Reform strategy.

It ain't workin', Sparky.

Any other juvenile bombast that you'd like to subject the audience to, before you're sent back to the Kiddie Table to do your homework better, for the next round?

And lest we forget...back then we needed workers to turn our resources into prosperity. People who came here worked....in mills, mines, the woods, factories....we needed workers, there were more jobs than people. Now the state prevents us from working and controls all the resources....immigrants are a burden. Especially criminal ones.

Just have them follow the rule of law to enter this country like with all the generations before them. Ellis Island has quite a history for our legal immigrant family and friends.

We have got kids in danger in every state and Child Protectives Services fail legal citizens, children and no one seems to give a **** about them or the lazy ass CPS worker that does what is easy, not what is right. And now you want government to take on more? Our government is a joke in enforcing laws, the don't enforce traffic laws unless they see dollar signs, they don't enforce gun laws, they don't enforce immigration laws. They have botched education, health care, our Veterans programs, the post office is a joke. We spend billions of government money on researching animals sexual preferences.

Our government is screwing the American middle class, every ******* day and now, you want to take the little resources left to raise another countries kids?

Those kids need their parents, their family, not a bunch of Americans pushing their ideals and agendas on them. Hell, you already said we screwed them over once, why do it some more? Feed them, give them clothing, get them healthy and reunite them with their families in the home land. That IS compassionate.

Then work on decreasing crime in Chicago, making safety nets so children that are born in this country can grow up in safe surroundings. Work to better the broken education system and just don't send more money, that fucked up idea hasn't worked for 40 years.

Work on getting police to be consistent instead of lazy and fix are pressing issues, like children sleeping in cars and going hungry.

No. You silly little *****, you sissy, you womanish little punk. We're the rugged individualists of unfettered liberty. You're the sniveling little cowards sucking on Big Brother Government's tit. You don't fool me for a moment, you puddle of wet panties.

Just how delusional are you?

Behold, this is lefty all day long: Big Daddy government feed me, clothe me, house me, protect me, hold me, blow my nose, wipe my ass. . . .

Shut up!

Lefty is that wet, snot-stained hanky feelin', the quivering chin of endless crises.

Gladstone was a delusional twit. A demagogue A bootlicking statist.

He wasn't talking about liberalism proper versus authoritarianism, which is the essence of what runs through the typical leftist's narrow, historically and philosophically unlearned mind when he hears the term conservatism, as if British conservatism of the 19th Century were not in fact the stuff of Locke (the Father of classical liberalism, for crying out loud!), Smith, Burke, Carlyle and so on: the stuff of individual liberty and laissez-faire. The very same sociopolitical ethos of the freest nation the world has ever known: the Republic of the United States of America that didn't collapse in a pile of chaos spiked with atrocity like the Republic of France!

Gladstone's political nemeses of the Tory Party were conservatives in the sense that they sensibly held to the traditions of the Anglo-American paradigm of classical liberalism as opposed to embracing the murderous, short-lived, collectivistic tyranny of the French revolutionaries. The comrades. The citizens. The Madame Defarges. The pitchfork-wielding barbarians of the Reign of Terror. The vicious little pricks of the Committee of Public Safety.

Jackasses like you!

Gladstone was of the Jacobinian tradition of radical collectivism, essentially a proponent of benevolent despotism, the historical precursor of Marxist totalitarianism, YOU DOPE.

He was a statist attacking the foundational principle of classical liberalism regarding the realities of human nature, YOU DOPE!

Human nature is corrupt. Only naïve, Pollyannaish morons don't know that. Only damn fools don't fear the dangers of unbridled human nature. The dangers of mob rule, the maddening crowd run amok as unleashed by demagogues and tyrants against the restraints of liberty.

Hence, only damn fools embrace collectivism. Only damn fools do not appreciate the necessity of limiting government power in accordance with the imperatives of natural law, i.e., the implacable defense of inalienable human rights, backed by an armed citizenry. Only damn fools don't understand that "[g]overnment, even in its best state, is but a necessary evil; in its worst state, an intolerable one." Only damn fools buy into the abject stupidity of the benevolent state, the all-seeing eye, the all-guiding hand of Man's supposed, essential goodness, but for His lack of enlightenment as defined by the self-anointed prigs of governmental paternalism, the few who would lord it over the many thanks to the stupidity of the many overthrowing the restraints of liberty.

But the extrapolations of reality touching on the exigencies of liberty and the essence of tyranny fly over leftists' heads, for, indeed, they are the intellectually and morally sheared sheep - the pussies, the cowards, the conformists, the dickless wonders - among us.

You're no friggin' liberal in any sense whatsoever but in the sense of subverted popular culture.
