Humans have acted inhumanely throughout history. To say that stating this fact means one is defending abuses that took place in the "New World" is absurd.
Everyone had slaves at some time. Everyone conquered the land they lived on at some time. It will only serve to continue bitterness and violence to do anything other than learn our lessons, forgive ourselves and each other, and not repeat the mistakes.
Those who wish to prolong the process do so for nefarious purposes.
Oh boy. here we go with the everybody in history has had slaves garbage. We're 160 years past slavery and the issue is the impact of white racism since slavery that has negatively impacted people of color now. Things like, black codes, vagrancy laws, contract labor, share cropping, the company store, racial massacres by whites, racist public policy, restrictive covenants, redlining, contract selling, racist housing policy, and modern or aversive racism. Slavery is long been out of the picture. Those who keep wanting to limit this to a discussion of slavery are the ones doing so for nefarious purposes.
You might want to reread his post, because you clearly misrepresented it.

And here comes the silly argument about how slavery is still going on when this discussion is about the founding of America.
Just because you want to dismiss valid arguments as silly does not make them actually silly.

You also want to state that we are invoking God's wrath for past slavery, but not for the ongoing sin of, say, abortion. Or homosexuality. Or greed, or fornication, or the many other sins God doesn't like.

So really, you appointed yourself God's mouthpiece, but you're not really. Dangerous, but you do you.
I am not saying that. I said the unrepentent nature of people like you. America has broken every single one of the commandments. You can't decide that abortion is so important to god, but the decide that war is necessary. You don't get to make a big stink out of abortion then denigrate everyone who wants guns to be controlled or banned. You don't get to bark about abortion then support capital punishment or eliminate programs that help the fetus live after they get outside the womb. You're a hypocrite. You don't get to sit in church talking about love your fellow man and then hate gay people. You don't get to run your mouth about socialism then talk about how great capitalism is, when capitalism by its own definition, enables greed and coveting what is not yours.

So like I said, America is paying the price for unrepentant people such as you. The fact slavery existed here and you have bragged about refusing to do what was right by the slaves is just part of the punishment.

I have not appointed myself anything pharisee. I am just stating what's going on. You are the danger and those like you, because you worship with a warped view of god.
This entire post is hilarious. Ironically hilarious
Of course it is Pharisee. Because you can't face the truth.

Haven't said that. But we are talking about what America was founded on and just because that implicates whites of evil doesn't mean you get to create all these diversions, gaslight and everything else that's being done here.

His post was about more than slavery. Sadly, you’re stuck on slavery and can’t get out. As such, you’re blind to the big picture.

You also forgot slavery. The US is a nation born in laziness, hypocrisy and cognitive dissonance.

No, slavery was here before the Europeans arrived, it was a practice all over the world......Black slavery in America was brought here by the Europeans and Africans.....they never get the blame....

It was America that ended the practice here ......

i speak the truth, and y'all cant handle it!

The Comanche of the west were the mongol horde of North America, they were vicious, murderous, land grabbing and decimated other tribes they encountered........the "Native" Americans were cruel, and just as bad as the Europeans, Africans, Asians........

"If you go back through Comanche history, you see that they were the ones who stopped the Spanish from coming North," he explains. "Why did the French stop coming west from Louisiana? Comanches. ... Here was why the West Coast and the East Coast settled before the middle of the country. Here was why there was basically a 40-year wait before you could develop the state of Texas or before other Plain states could be developed."

On what the raid on the Parker fort was like

"This is what Indians did to Indians and this just happened to be Indians meeting whites. But the automatic thing in battle is that all the adult males would be killed. That was automatic. That was one of the reasons that Indians fought to the death. The white men were astonished by it but they were assumed that they would be killed. Small children were killed. Very small children were killed. A lot of the children in say, the 3-10 range were often taken as captives. The women were often raped and often killed. And all of the people in those settlements back in those years knew what a Comanche raid was — knew what a Comanche raid meant. ...

And it's an interesting kind of moral question as a historian about Plains Indians or American Indians in general. You have to come to terms with this — with torture, which they practiced all across the West — and these kind of grisly practices that scared white people to death."

On rewriting history to leave out Native American atrocities

"There was even an attempt at one point to deny that Indians were warlike.

Comanches were incredibly warlike. They swept everyone off the Southern plains. They nearly exterminated the Apaches.

And you know, if you look at the Comanches and you look back in history at Goths and Vikings or Mongols or Celts — old Celts are actually a very good parallel. In a lot of ways, I think we're looking back at earlier versions of ourselves. We — being white European — did all of those things. Not only that but torture was institutionalized during things like the Counter-Reformation and the Spanish Inquisition and the Russian Revolution."

Just revisiting the OP.
Most countries were founded on invasions, wars and so on.
But only the US is seemingly blind to the contradictions in its founding principles.
All men were not equal when the men who penned that were fucking their slaves. Its a strange "manifest destiny" that includes the robbing and slaughter of the folk who were already there.

Recognising this is not a sign of weakness. The US is not going to be handed back to the Apaches.

But the US is conflicted by its past actions, like many other nations, and will need to deal with it in order to give all of its citizens a fair shake.

And every single thing you mentioned....was at the heart of the democrat party.......slavery, jim crow, black codes, literacy tests.....and yet Black Americans today vote overwhelmingly for the polticial party that did all of those things...

Yet you expect people who weren't alive at the time, never did any of it.....to take the blame for it....

You are a moron....

So what are you saying?....America is willfully confused and lazy because they in mass disagree with you?....welcome to a democracy and freedom of thought....maybe its you that is intellectually lazy....
I'm saying whites were lazy and couldn't do their own work.

I'm saying whites are a genocidal inbred race.

I'm also saying whites are natural born thieves.

and finally I am saying they have short and long term memory loss when it comes to racial injustice.
aw gee, that isn't racist at all.......

~S~
Documented historical actions and behavior support most of what he has said. If whites had not done the things they have done, you could call this racist, but there is a documented behavior pattern from whites that lead people to make this kind of conclusion. Now we know all whites have not participated in such behavior but this is the bed whites have created for themselves by what they have done to others. So always calling someone a racist for pointing it out makes no sense.

The violence and racism around the world is greater than here in the U.S.......try to live in Japan as a non-Japanese...........
