So the Lord God.......lied and left an "excuse/escape clause", but simply forgot to allow the Holy Spirit of Truth to reveal that a Reversal of His Curse was available that was placed upon the direct line of Jesus' ancestry which included an eternal ban forbidding any ancestor of "Jeconiah"......the king that was so evil that God placed an eternal curse on all his descendents?
"As I live, declares the Lord, through Coniah the son of Jehoiakim king of Judah..................Thus saith the Lord: write this down as childless, a man that shall not succeed in his days, FOR NONE OF HIS OFFSPRING SHALL SUCCEED IN SITTING ON THE THRONE OF DAVID AND RULING AGAIN IN JUDAH." -- Jeremiah 22:24-30
What you fail to comprehend or pretend not to understand is the documented fact that Jesus' "LEAGAL" LINEAGE comes though Jeconiah while Jesus' physical line goes through David via a different son (Luke 1:32-33)
Only through the Jewish legal tradition of adoptation could both the curse of God on the legal line of Jesus and the promoise that Jesus would sit on David's throne....both be true. Why? Because the throne that Jesus sits on as a descendent of David.......is a Spiritual Kingdom, not a physical literal Kingdom.....as described in great detail in Acts of the Apostles chapter 2 which detail that Jesus now sits in rule on David's throne.........in Heaven at the right hand of the Father, and rules over David's kingdom as king of Spiritual Israel.
What part can't you read in simple English? The Book of Daniel presents a prophecy concerning the Christ/Messiah that is to come. "One like the Son of Man (all throughout the N.T. Jesus is referred to as the Son of Man because His lineage goes all the way back to Adam, Examples: Mark 14:21, Matt. 26:24, John 12:34, Matt. 11:27, Luke 22:22, Mark 13:34, Matt.24:30, John 3:13, etc......)..........cometh with the clouds of heaven, He came to the ANCIENT OF DAYS (prophecy name for GOD) and they brought Him (the Son of Man) near before Him (God). Then to Him (Son of Man, Jesus, Messiah) was given dominion and a kingdom, that all peoples, nations and languages should serve Him (Son of Man, Jesus, Messiah............and eternal kingdom that shall not pass away..." -- Daniel 7:13-14
The Son of Man is clearly the Messiah, Jesus the Christ, the Ancient of Days is a metophorical name for God because He has existed eternally..........Just as in Daniel's prophecy, Jesus ascended to "the Ancient of Days" in the clouds accompined by Angels (Acts 1:9-11). Just before Jesus' death on the cross Jesus declared, "........all authority in heaven and on earth has been given to Me by the Father." -- Matthew 28:18-19 which agrees with Daniels prophecy.........Jesus was given a kingdom and the authority as its rightful King.
The problem is.........you want to declare that God lied and Jesus never received His Kingdom in the 1st century as is recorded in explicit detail, because the Kingdom is a Spiritual, not a literal kingdom and Jesus has been sitting on David's throne now for well over 2000 years just as detailed in Acts chapter 2. Jesus rose up to sit on David's throne (Acts 2:30), .......God had made Jesus whom you (the Jews being addressed) crucified, both LORD (ruler) and CHRIST (anonited King). (Acts 2:36)
Christ means anonited one........the Messiah.
Both Jesus and John the Baptist preached, repent for the Kingdom is at hand the TIME of the prophecy is at hand (near in the 1st century) -- Mark 1:14-15, Matthew 3:2
All the verses of the N.T. speak of the kingdom as coming in the near future.........up to the day of Pentecost after the ascension of Jesus into heaven (Acts 1:9-11) Then beginning at ACTS 2...........the scriptures define the kingdom as BEING HERE, now, since that day in the 1st century. Jesus declared that some standing there listening to Him preach would not taste of death until they seen the Kingdom come with power (Mark 9:1)
There are no 2000 year old people living on earth today......thus the kingdom came in the 1st century as promised by Jesus and John the Baptist. It was a spiritual kingdom. Daneil further declares the kingdom would come during the reign of the 4th great empire on earth........which history actual reveals was the reign of the Roman Empire during the 1st century period. (Daniel 2:44)
Peter tells us that the promised construction of the Temple........is a Spiritual Temple/House consisting of the members of the kingdom of Christ/church, that can never be destroyed again. (1 Peter 2:5) Paul declares........You cannot touch it with your physical hands nor can you see it with your physical eyes, you must see it with ".......eyes of spiritual understanding....., your ability to comprehend and understand the truth" -- Eph. 1:18-19.
THE KINGDOM OF GOD EXISTS WITHIN YOU, IN YOUR HEART.......YOU CAN'T SEE, TOURCH IT OR SEE IT COMING. -- Luke 17:20-21. Jesus stated that His Kingdom was not of this world. (John 18:36)
You........just like the Jews, the Muslims, etc., are expecting something that was never promised........a literal kingdom for Jesus to rule on earth. But the truth is revealed by the Apostle. When Jesus comes back it will not be to construct a literal kingdom, it will be to judge and after the judgment the kingdom will be returned to the Father. (1 Cor. 15:22)

If you want to re-define the progressive tax system (which is nothing but a license envoking income redistribution).....send representatives to DC that will do as they are elected to do.........REPRESENT YOU. Simply vote for a flat 10% federal tax on everything purchased.....if you really want equality in the tax system. Even the churches would be subject to paying taxes......if they purchased anything whatsoever.........just as the drug dealers, theives, criminals.....etc., be forced to pay taxes by paying a flat tax on everything purchased. There would be no 1%ers, no 99%ers ...........etc., everyone who spends a penny would be forced pay their "fair share". If 10% is good enough for God......its good enough for UNCLE SAM. Consumer spending in the US equals over 13 Trillion dollars each year..........100 Billion is 10% of One Trillion.........do the math 1.3 Trillion collected in taxes each year at the federal level alone. Have a 5% state tax on sales, a 3% on local spending........totalling 18% overall generating far more than the so called PROGRESSIVE TAX system.
The US does not have a TAX PROBLEM.......it has a SPENDING and MISMANAGEMENT PROBLEM.

Kingdom is both spiritual and physical. The Physical Kingdom comes during The Millennial Reign of Christ.
Jesus is coming again and He will establish His Millennial Kingdom and rule from Jerusalem on The Throne of David wearing The Crown of Adam for 1,000 years and then one last rebellion will be put down, then comes a New Heaven and New Earth and Eternity which no doubt you will not participate in.
The Heavenly Jerusalem will descend and you will never see it because you will be in Hell with all your fellow deceivers and liars.
In the day of deception it is most important to repent. Fall on your knees and ask God to remove the scales from your eyes and to change your heart of stone and make it beat again with life and love for God.

Just because you apparently disagree with someone's theology doesn't make them an "abomination" at all. And I don't think that Lindsey was the "ruination" of Christianity at all. After the great theologian's first masterpiece in the early 1970's, Christianity rose in popularity, wasn't ruined in the least.
Further, are you even Christian yourself? If not, you should be glad if someone ruined Christianity, no?
Isaiah is talking about Israel throughout the book of Isaiah.

I was still going to church when "The late, great planet earth" came out. I saw the transformation first hand. We all read it. The preachers started preaching on it and everyone was sure the end was near. Cults flourished. It seems the apocalypse was postponed indefinitely but the damage was done.

You're just ignorant. Hosea is also about Israel. Jesus is enough. You don't have to reinvent the Old Testament to embellish Jesus.
