It was republican voters who “created“ Trump, not the GOP establishment who hates him. But they are also responsible due to their decades of ignoring both their loyal voters and the working class that the Democrats were disaffecting with their asinine wokeness.

Trump saw an opportunity to gather mainstream GOP voters, and new working class former Democrat voters, who then became Trump voters.

The nightmare scenario, is that the GOP establishment pulls what the DNC establishment did in 2016 by anointing a candidate instead of letting voters schools. If they did that, why in the world would you think Trump had an obligation to supported the anointed one.

He’d likely run as a third party candidate. If the Dems don’t get rid of BIden/Harris soon, he might draw enough votes for the Reps and the Dems to win.

He could certainly draw enough votes to win some states like Texas if his opponent is not Cruz, or Florida if his opponent is not DeSantis. If that happens the House picks the president, and the House is now Republican. You sure this is a Republican nightmare?
