The Psychology of MAGA

Whatever good you believe trump is doing is negated by all the bad things he's done. We are worse off because of him. Plus now it appears he is going to destroy the country or at the very least endanger it and the world both.

Absolutely hilarious on all fronts. He is slashing wasteful spending, inefficiencies and obvious corruption in our federal government. He wants to extend tax cuts to allow people to continue to keep more of the money they earn. He is negotiating better trade deals using the power of the US consumer and threats of tariffs. He is removing ILLEGAL aliens from our country and locking down the border, saving the US billions and decreasing crime and the possibility of terrorist activity without our country. Oh, the horror of it all.

From a national security perspective, a disastrous Afghanistan withdrawal, a terrorist massacre and kidnapping of Israeli citizens and a Russia invasion of Ukraine all occur on Biden’s watch. Trump asks Europe to buck up and pay for more for their own protection and wants Ukraine to pay back the billions we have spent to help protect them and somehow the world is now in more danger. The reality is that many of our allies have been taking advantage of the US for decades. It is almost like they married us for money and protection. When the money dries up and/or we no longer protect them, they all of a sudden fall out of “love”.

The only people that see these actions as destroying our country and endangering the world are those that either aren’t paying attention or don’t have the US or the world’s best interest at heart.

You are in the nose bleeds. Since when have you voted for someone who wins?
That's the dumbest question you idiots ask. I'm not betting on a horse, I'm choosing the best leader. If the rest of you did that, we'd be much better off.
Go ahead and tell us we would be better off with Kamala and her Woke Ass agenda?
No.

If we were to identify ourselves as MAGA and non-MAGA (which includes Americans across the political spectrum), perhaps we can all agree on one thing:

MAGAs appear to get enjoyment -- real enjoyment -- out of seeing non-MAGAs in some kind of distress over MAGA's actions. They cheer on Trump's constant insults and trolling, JD Vance's attacks on our former European allies, reactions to news of the rapid dismantling of the government, the release of violent Capitol criminals. They celebrate it.

So I got to wondering what this is, from a psychological perspective, and I asked Chat GPT (which is pretty freaking amazing if you haven't tried it) "is there a psychological term for a person who enjoys being disliked?"

Here's what I got:

Yes, there are several psychological concepts that could explain why someone might want to be disliked:
  1. Counterdependency – A defense mechanism where a person deliberately pushes others away or resists attachment, sometimes by behaving in a way that makes them disliked.
  2. Masochistic Personality Traits – Some individuals may have a subconscious desire to create situations where they are rejected or disliked, deriving a sense of validation or control from negative treatment.
  3. Rebellious or Oppositional Behavior (Oppositional Defiant Disorder - ODD) – Some people, especially in childhood or adolescence, may act in ways that provoke negative reactions as a way of asserting control or defiance.
  4. Self-Sabotaging Behavior – Rooted in low self-esteem or deep-seated beliefs of unworthiness, some individuals may seek out disapproval as a way to confirm negative self-perceptions.
  5. Inferiority Complex – A person with an inferiority complex may act in a way that provokes dislike as a means of reinforcing their own negative self-view.
  6. Schadenfreude-Seeking (Reverse Narcissism) – Some people enjoy being disliked because it gives them a sense of power or uniqueness, as if they are above social norms or expectations.
  7. Martyr Complex – A person with a martyr complex may subconsciously desire rejection or dislike to feel morally superior or to justify a belief that the world is against them.

I dunno but it seems to me that your post could also describe the progs protesting for hamas or open borders.

I think Trump thus far is defying gravity (though not as smartly as a certain witch) because most of us realize Biden was useless on issues such as the deficits and ending the war in Ukraine.

Now if his econ policies don't bring down inflation the rest of the way, create new high paying jobs, and cut middle class programs .... that might leave a mark.

Yes , the whole world would be better off. trump and his ilk are acting very dangerously , very ineffective and very indiscriminate in their actions. In essence , they are throwing out the baby with the he bath water.

Worthless gibberish.

Think about the abortion issue. republicans call it a baby and get all emotional about it. I call it a fetus and have reasoned it out that the world is overpopulated already and it actually works to help us all. No emotion wanted or needed. Just think .
Yes, leftists do believe that most problems can be solved by wholesale murder.

And you believe that's a moral position. Astounding.

Why did the Italians cheer at Mussolini hanging in the public square? Why did the Romanians celebrate the Ceaucescus hanging in the public square. That's why we enjoy seeing the suffering of democrats. It's the devil getting his due. It's the celebration of overthrowing tyranny.

OMG ,thanks for proving my point. PS You can't murder a fetus. , at the most it's just fetus " code ".

Just like a lefty to be ok with killing a fetus on the grounds that it isn't really a person. Technically, by definition, any unborn offspring of a mammal is a fetus. Do you have a problem with killing a "fetus" in the 9th month the day before it is supposed to be birthed? If so, why? It is just a fetus, right? If not, then you are one sick individual.

It's a human being. The science says so.

But leftists like to ignore science when they want to kill inconvenient human beings.

You're a horrible person.
Emotions , get a grip. You've proved my point again. You far right wing nuts are all emotional cripples.
