Ok..
Just a quick tale of woe.

The AC in my truck quit....(2008 silverado)
So after buying a new interior control module and "nada"....I discovered it wasn't engaging even after swapping solenoid switches....
I thought I needed a new compressor....because the clutch was shot.

Nope, the clutch is separate. Doesn't take much to swap it out. Two retaining O-rings and one screw..a few shims to make clearance and all is gold.
So....i got the part and took it off to the garage and $400 later (it also needed a pound of refrigerant). All seemed to be good.

Today we get home from church and the house is warm...I think its just that we need to turn on the AC. We had just been using the whole house fan at night and early morning. (Mild spring weather so far until today).
Nope....AC has been on. Fan is blowing but air is not that cool.
I investigate and condenser coils' fan is not running. Ugggghhhhh.....
Probably just the run capacitor(or a bad board)...but I don't have one and now need a AC tech to come service the unit.

So....since the house is running hot....
I got a $20 Dairy Queen GC for my Birthday. I see a perfect time to use it in the next town over. A couple mocha moolattes and cheese curds later....we head back home.

As we pull into my driveway a horrible noise starts coming from under the hood of my truck.
Probably the AC Compressor....it's coming from that vicinity.

Uggghhhhhhh

I feel for you John, I had a Feb. like that. First, my internet went--took a month to get back online. Then the refrigerator, washer and dryer all chose to go and it seemed like a good time to replace the microwave that the wife wanted to get rid of. To top it all off--on the last day of the ski season, the truck broke down on the way home. Thought it was just an injector---WRONG, a glow plug broke and did the engine in -- Another $27K for another motor. LOL, got it all done -- hopefully we will have an extended period with no problems. Good luck with your AC.

Some say bad things happen in threes. So you're due for something really cool (pun intended) happening soon.
