Comey was required to notify the relevant committee chairmen who were continuing to investigate Hillary's crimes, if new evidence emerged. Since new evidence emerged, he notified them, as required by law.

Election outcomes are not predicted based on national poling results. You are basically stating that pollsters are such morons that they do not understand the basics of how the president is actually elected. The conversation was never about national numbers. There was no one talking about Trump's road to victory as needing to gain X number of natinal votes. It was all about the swing states and places where polling was close. Once that popular vote is tabulated to decide each state, the relative size of each state's population is converted into ELECTORAL UNITS which equate from state to state the same. One EC vote in CA is worth the same as one in Wisconsin. That's why CA gets a WHOPPING 55 EC votes while others only 7.

AS FOR HILLARY, as a criminal who had violated 7 federal codes on national security, the voters had EVERY RIGHT to know this going in, indeed, she had no business even being on the ballot because of that.
