Publishing polls is just part of the media.

I figure the peoples' right to be influenced by the media of their own choosing vastly exceeds my concern over any media that is within legal limits and moral tolerance.

I didn't say anybody was offended. I'm saying it's the people right to believe what they wish to believe and read the media of their own choosing. I see no reason for the most part that their choice is any of my business. However, I would object to that media if it endorsed bigotry and went against my Christian values.

Dislike of political polls isn't something new and has grown even more over time. Responses to those conducting polls shouldn't be taken as gospel and from personal experience the results can also be skewed by respondents. I recall being approached by a pollster back in 1976 while hanging out with 2 friends and co-workers who were strongly Republicans (to put it mildly). I was only experiencing my 2nd presidential election, and I hadn't yet shed my Democrat persuasion. In response to the pollster all 3 of us said we'd be voting against Ford and for Carter. Both friends were delighted to have misinformed the pollster and chuckled as we walked away.
