Joe Biden was in Erie yesterday, wailing that Trump doesn't really care about the working man, and that he - Trump - is responsible for the massive job losses associated with Covid 19.

At the same time, he excoriates Trump for not immediately shutting the country down when he realized how serious the pandemic was.

This contradiction is SO OBVIOUS that only a Leftist with TDS could possibly miss it.

If Trump had shut down the economy as Biden says he should have, then THE JOB LOSSES WOULD HAVE BEEN TWICE AS BAD AS THEY WERE!

You can't have it both ways. EITHER Trump "failed" to be honest with the American people and shut down the country quickly and severely, OR he shut down the economy too severely and is responsible for excessive job losses. YOU CAN'T HAVE IT BOTH WAYS!

Lefties, which is it? Did Trump shut down the economy, thus resulting in excessive job losses, or did he NOT shut down the economy, resulting in excessive Covid 19 deaths?

You can't have both.

It is not always about jobs. COVID is going to win

Trump had an opportunity to stop COVID before it could spread. Instead, he partially shut down flights from China and took a two month Victory Lap

That “pause” accompanied by denials of the seriousness of COVID allowed the virus to spread.

Meanwhile, Biden says he wouldn't hesitate to shut the country down again, and screw up the economy even more....

Go figure....

We need strong leadership during COVID, not pretending it will go away “like a miracle”

You have to realize that no matter what Trump did the left would find fault. The left did their best to increase virus deaths. They have done their best to shutdown the economy then try To hang it on Trump.

The left doesn’t care about people, they don’t care if you can’t buy food or housing, they only care about power.

So what did he not do?
we had states that said he could not tell them what to do.
we had a presidential hopeful and other democrats calling him xenophobic for trying to restrict air travel.
we had democrats putting virus positive in old folks homes in an attempt to up the death count.
we have democrats that refused to allow people to do things, open businesses with mitigation in place and yet encouraged riots with no mitigation.
States have said since he has been in office that they can do what they want. He can’t tell them what to do.
He sent a hospital ship in record time that was not used. He convinced industries to build ventilators.

We don't need buzz words. We need president Trump - he has handled it very well without destroying every last one of America's freedoms.

We had Trump undermining states that took strong measures
We had Trump cheerleading states that ignored safety protocols
We had Trump lying about the seriousness of COVID and telling people it was no worse than the flu
We had Trump refusing to wear a mask in public and mocking those who do
We had Trump holding indoor rallies with people packed together to look like a full house and no masks
We had Trump telling people masks do not work
We had Trump undermining CDC and defunding WHO

Logic land mine detected...

The left would be wise to avoid this thread as they clearly don't possess the witts to avoid stepping on them.

Actually, the Honorable Joseph R. Biden, Jr., CAN have it both ways (just as he refuses to talk about packing the Supreme Court).

The Dems could not care less about Mr. Biden. No one, for example, attends his rallies. No one even likes him. They all know he is a relic of the old days when arrogant Euro Americans were firmly in control.

They are just waiting for him to wipe the floor with my candidate on November 3.

They will politely applaud him at his inauguration and then gently but firmly push him to the sidelines as the BLM-friendly woke Vice President & woke Cabinet roll up their sleeves to reimagine this nation.

Trump failed to protect us from COVID

The resulting job losses are on him

And as we keep saying, Democrats were NOT initially on board with any shutdown. Biden is playing Monday morning QB. He wouldn't have done anything differently except possibly leaving the country shutdown even longer, doing even more damage to the country.

They only listen to the "science" when it suits them.

If Trump had shut down the economy as Biden says he should have, then THE JOB LOSSES WOULD HAVE BEEN TWICE AS BAD AS THEY WERE!
And the shutdown would have been four times shorter.

We are seeing the effects of ineffective early response, permanent job losses as business couldn’t weather 6 months of restrictions.

Given this criteria, just about every very sitting president in the world should be canned I guess.

Obama/Biden handling of H1N1 was far worse than Trump's handing of COVID, in terms of controlling the spread. What on earth makes you think they would have done better with COVID?

No, the shutdowns would not have been shorter. We would not have been able to keep COVID out of the US. That is a falsehood.

And your post describes exactly what liberalism is.... it is a belief based on ideas - not reality.
Reality and facts are not nearly as important as narrative to a liberal.

Trump has 5 percent of the population and 20 percent of the deaths

If we had acted in a serious manner we could have. Early failures are leading to prolonged damage.

ounce of prevention is worth a pound of cure.
