Probably the purpose of mandates is to preclude you from clogging the hospitals or infecting those around you. This way the covid will abate.
Personally, I don't care what you do. Just have respect and stay the hell away from me if you choose not to be vaccinated or mask up when indoors. Trump had nothing to do with you getting the vaccine. That was the World Health Organization. Pfizer was developed in Germany, Astra-Zeneca in England. The Moderna vaccine had been in development since 2003.

Tump did fast track the vaccine and then proceeded to do little or nothing to perpetuate its use.
