Built on a Imperial Chassis with the Imerial engine, take a look at this excellent car. It weighs over 6,000 pounds and has fuel cells, not a gas tank and is supreme engineered. It was to retail for about $19,000 at the time.
Experience excellence.

So, Imperial was Mopar, right? That's house money back then. Big house money.

Chrysler. And yes, even with the fake 'oil crisis' inflation it was big money long after 1966. I bought a small house in 1981 for $17,000 on about a 1/4 acre lot. Added a lot to it over the years, but yes, $19,000 was decent starter house money in 1981. In 1966 you would be talking mansion type houses.

A Ford GT40 in 1966 cost about the same, around $19,000.
