Heather MacDonald is the most astute, articulate contemporary writer on the subject of race in Academe. While "we" all have a sense that Biden's commitment to appoint a Black woman to the USSC was questionable, Ms MacDonald takes a bludgeon to it, pointing out that only two percent of the nation's lawyers are Black Women, thus 98% of the "pool" is excluded. Further African Americans are generally the dregs of the legal profession, and Biden preemptively shut the ABA out of the vetting process, claiming they are not sufficiently devoted to diversity! In other words, he fully intends to nominate unqualified BIPOC's and wants to spare himself the embarrassment of having even a Leftist organization like the ABA call him out on it.

Furthermore - and this is where MacDonald really shines - the logical next USSC pick is an Asian American...too bad his intersectionality score was too low.

It probably doesn't matter to Biden or his handlers that 3/4 of American voters disagree with his bizarre promise w/r/t this appointment. They figure they will manufacture any votes needed to win the election anyway, but this is an embarrassment.

How sad that the message Biden and the left is sending to their SCOTUS pick is that her only value to them is her black vagina.

somewhere there is an rich old white anglo saxon protestant guy who is severely oppressed and persecuted. give this guy a chance for once.
Always the same babbling bullshit with you swine.

Biden has said he will replace Tom Brady with a woman of color.
Actually biden can only call Tampa Bay head coach Bruce Arians a dirty filthy white racist if he does not replace Brady with a black female

What a bunch of Neo-Croc tears.

Did the GOP whine like that over Rayguns' pledging to nominate a Black man or does the Neo-GOP just have a problem with well qualified Black women?

The other 98% is already mostly represented in SCOTUS

Pleased to see you provided evidence of that racial slur.

I've seen no evidence that 75%disagree with his decision. I think that is a the lie.
The only way repuplicans will win the election if they do "manipulate" votes.
That's wishful thinking otherwise.

Who said anything about well-qualified? Not Joe Biden.
Poor Hoss, living in the bubble.

"The person I will nominate will be someone with extraordinary qualifications, character, experience and integrity. And that person will be the first Black woman ever nominated to the United States Supreme Court," Biden said. "It's long overdue in my view. I made that commitment during the campaign for president, and I will keep that commitment."

Not long ago, you had to be white and male to become a Supreme Court Justice.

Now people are complaining about having to be black and female.

Go figure.

Both Reagan and Trump announced they would choose a woman for the SCOTUS during their campaigns. Were they wrong to do that or was Biden's mistake to say his woman would be Black?

Brandon's mistake - one of many - is to limit his pool of candidates based on sex and race. Get a clue.
