The House (Republicans) pass The Protection of Women and Girls Sports Act

Take down the entire system??? Exaggerate much?

Republicans have given up on limited government, and have joined liberals in the quest to mold society in their own image via government. It's sad to see.

That's the only thing I can assume YOU ask for, because you never propose another fucking system.

You just complain about those of us "not as pure as you are" types who want to fix things, meanwhile just complaining about us and dismissing any attempts to counter what the "all government all the time" types are trying to do.

Following your ideas, if there are any, just leads to them winning.

When tax funded colleges and tax funded public primary and secondary schools have sports programs, that is government in action.

The question is what will those programs look like and how will the tax dollars be spent? Those are political questions that automatically require government involvement.

If a private youth sports league decides that boys and girls teams will be separated by sex and it gets sued and a court forces them to allow Boys on the girls team and the reverse (if anyone ever wants that) that is a government in action.

Bad government Must be overcome by good government. We cannot wish it away.

The real libertarian solution would be to end tax funded schools and tax funded sports programs, and then people would decide with their patronage whether they liked boys to play on girls teams, or not.

Claiming that government should not get involved in how government programs are run is the fakest of fake libertarianism.

The federal government isn't authorized to make these decisions.

Improper government action.

Exactly. Bad government pushing in the other direction is no solution.

Yup.

Using federal government to dictate social norms is wrong. Republicans have adopted the same attitude as Democrats. They want to use federal funding to mold society in their image. There's nothing fake about that.

Simple - don't take federal funding. Lots of school don't.

Simple - don't take federal funding. Lots of school don't.
Simple - don't take the money from us in the first place.

This is the conceit of federal "largess". We send them our money in the form of taxes, and they offer to give some of it back, with "conditions". Republicans are now all in on this game, they just have different conditions than Democrats.

Not by a strict reading of the constitution, I agree. But the Supreme Court has long since stretched the definition of interstate commerce to allow the federal government to do anything it wants.

That is the reality of our current government.

Yup.
That is the ideal, but we are not at that point so we have to deal with reality.

Again, we have to deal with reality. The reality is that the federal government has tentacles in all parts of our local county and state governments.

If We believe that girls and women’s sports should be reserved for girls and women can choose to say well, but we can’t try to influence the federal government because we are just too darn libertarian or we can recognize that the federal government is who we must make our case too.

A libertarian world will be great when we finally achieve a libertarian world. Until then we have to protect our women and children in the current reality.

Reality. Yeah. So, the reality is that there are crooked cops doing things we don't like. Following your logic, the way to deal with that is to hire crooked cops who will do things we do like.

I'm not arguing for a libertarian world. I'm arguing for Constitutionally limited government. Republicans have forgotten what that means.

No, that is idiotic. The solution to bad cops is good cops.

For example, we know there are crooked “cops” in the DOJ and the FBI. The solution is not to say ‘oh well we can’t do anything about that because that’s the business of statists and not libertarians.’

That would just be turning over government and the many aspects of our lives that government involves herself with to the bad guys.

The solution is good cops, a Pam Bondi and a Patel.

In a constitutionally limited government, the federal government would not be setting rules for sports, nor paying for sports.

But as long as it continues to pay for sports and set the rules for sports, even us libertarians have as much right as you do to a say in what those rules will be.

99% of adults have never met a trans person. 99% of adults have bought eggs. What’s more important to the daily life of the average American? Why does MAGA spend so much time on issues that effect so few?
MAGA brains washed them into believing it is a problem. Create a problem, hysteria, promise to solve it. It's all for the vote

So, rather than trying to solve the problem, you'll just join the Democrats in making it worse.

Wow! You’re even less serious than when you were GG and that other one.
So, you're out of arguments and want to turn things into a personal pissing match. No thanks.

Democrats having been using the government to promote a woke agenda. Instead of blocking the government's ability to promote social agendas, Republicans want to use the government to promote an anti-woke agenda. Back and forth we go.
