WASHINGTON — The U.S. House of Representatives voted 224-204 on Thursday to reinstate temporary protected status for roughly 350,000 Haitian nationals living in the United States, a rebuke of the Trump administration’s immigration policies that carries particular significance for communities like Springfield, Ohio.

Two of the 10 Republicans who sided with Democrats to pass the legislation are from Ohio: Mike Turner of Dayton and Mike Carey of Columbus, whose districts include the Springfield area. Cleveland.com has reached out to their offices for comment on the vote.

Democrats always seem to have just enough votes to do pretty much anything they damn well please, don't they?

Even with the dictator Hitler in power.

The Dims are not even officially in power and they still own the joint.

Hilarious.

Pin the Tail on the Donkey

The Demwits, and a few superstitious GOPers, must believe in voodoo curses.

It's like they answer to the lobbyists more than the citizens.

This bill is an election-year gimmick focused on a few Congressional districts. It has no chance of passing in the Senate.
From your keyboard to God's Email box... Let's hope sane people in the Senate prevail.
