The Elephant (no pun intended!) in the Democratic Party Room

And didn’t the Democrats act as if they had a full-on mandate from America as they swing open the border to millions of illegals?
Or, going back to Obama's toxic partisanship: "Elections have consequences"

We've got to stop treating elections as proxy civil war. We're just picking a leader, not declaring a "mandate".

Focusing on the working class, or the middle class or any "class" is, still, identity politics.

"Class" is a socio-economic reality - unless you want to go full blown commie.

That’s true. Let’s just focus on sealing the border, deporting the illegals, lowering transportation costs which in turn lowers the price of all goods, streamline the government, present strength to the world so we deter evil actions of our enemies, and get harsh on criminals.

Everyone gains. (Well….not the criminals.)

It is, but he’s saying don’t focus on specific SES groups. Just focus on what is best for America.

Nothing wrong with acknowledging what most Americans voted for and moving in that direction.

If you're only acknowledging the majority, I think it's a mistake - and that's what we've been doing. We need a President who understands that they represent the entire country, not just their party.

Why do democrats only say that when they lose?

Yes, a president who represents what’s best for good Americans. That would be Trump. The Democrats represented what would be best for illegal aliens and criminals.

The ignorant, stupid half.
Maybe. But they're still there. We gotta live with them.

Both parties seem to labor under the delusion that an electoral victory will allow them some kind of final victory over the "other side". It just doesn't work that way. A leader who can find a way to connect with everyone - or at least very large majority - will go a long way toward healing the country.

But neither party seems interested in that.

Do we have to connect with the neo-Nazis and HAMAS-supporters, too? A big segment of the country has gone batshit crazy, and we don’t have to “represent” their interests. We need to save America from them.

Of course.

The evil people want to destroy America and only your party can save us!

As the Democratic Party looks around and finds itself in the political abyss, I'm starting to see some folks ask about who is going to lead them out of that abyss.

Personally, I think that if the person or people behind whom they rally keeps them on the same path that got them here, they're going to stay here. That means the new leader(s) of the party have to focus squarely on the Middle Class (if it isn't too late), and run directly away from the Identity Politics & Political Correctness that largely put them in this mess.

"But we DO support the Middle Class!" they'll say. To which I would respond, "no, when you were screaming RACISM and HOMOPHOBIA and TOXIC MASCULINITY at people, when you were wrecking their careers and their businesses because they "offended" you, many of those people WERE the Middle Class. And who came running to defend them? The Republicans. MAKE UP YOUR MIND."

So, Democrats, which direction should the party take, and who do you see as your new possible leaders?

/—-/ democRATs need to unite with the Whig party and the Bull Moose Party located in the dust bin of history.

Here's your future leader, same as your previous leader. At 41% you clowns obviously have not learned a thing. Then on the bright side, she has 4 years to figure out how to answer a question.

More stupidity. Democrats won in 2018, 2020, and 2022. The middle class voted n this election. Whites are not the only members of the middle class. WHITES voted for Trump. Republicans didn't defend them. Republicans race pimped them.
